How many games have we taken the lead to only give it back in the next half inning?  Seems like it happens a couple times every game

I didn't get this reference, until I remembered that the Sumerian number system was Base-60. Hilarious!

Gibson didn't know that.

And it immediately hurts us

Cleveland winning, BTW

I already said it three days ago. After this series, Indians would tie with us.

Great play by Matt Olson at first to make the catch, then get the second out at 3rd, but that's bad baseball (base running) by the Twins (Jake Cave). If that ball gets by Olson, Cave scores easily. Getting doubled off like that is bad fundamental baseball. There was one out and Cave was nowhere near third base when he got doubled off.

i don’t know. I would guess a finite number of times? A number which can be discovered by poring through the game logs?

1 reliable starter and 2 reliable relievers. Make it happen front office.

Good luck with finding that much

How many free bases have the twins handed out since the ASB? Preposterous

No. It being AFTER the All-Star Break, that makes it Postposterous.

I thought the same thing. He wasn’t in the picture at all when Olson threw to third.

Gibby gives it right back. Geez Louise.

Note that Sano got to 3rd thanks to a sac bunt, scored on a wild pitch. Those small ball plays can be effective.

I just realized my posts keep landing above the mid-thread ads. For awhile there I thought I drank too much and changed my signature to promote Ethan Allen for some reason.

It’s happened 7 times in the not fully 6 games since the ASB ENDED

That's why pitchers can punch anyone out are the most important in the modern era. If Gibby can punch 3 outs, one single and a wild pitch can't score.

Could be worse. I'm still getting ads for those ridiculous Fluevog shoes, or whatever they are.

I continue to eat crow regarding Marwin in RF. He played very little in right before coming to the Twins, and I didn't like what I saw early on, but he's applied himself and is making some plays to enjoy.

Wow, you're right!  I hadn't thought of that, thank you!!!!

Maybe. My guess is that Baldelli called go on contact. The idea is that a so-so grounder can score a run. However, this is an example of how that can bite you in the butt.
