So, I see a concerning problem evolving involving Adalberto Mejia. He didn’t pitch in the double header. He didn’t pitch today. Hildenberger and Rogers threw in excess of 20 pitches both days.

 

That doesn’t work. That’s how guys get overused. I get that Mejia has been sketchy to say the least. He’s had 3 poor outings, 3 good ones and one meh. Clearly, Baldelli has lost faith.

 

Bottom line: he either needs to be used or he needs to be removed from the roster. Not using him is simply not a choice.

Generally agree with the sentiment, but he also could be Wednesday's starter in a bullpen game, and three wins are in the bag.

I understand the overusing part, but with the way Meija has looked, I would want him no where near a 0-2 run lead right now, as they had in Game 1 yesterday and today's game.  Game 2 would have been an ideal time to use him, but they went with Romero...who was only up for the day, and Duffy instead.  

 

Meija and Parker both haven't pitched since the 17th.  A 4 game absence from a reliever isn't completely uncommon with 8-9 man bullpens.
