Game Thread: Twins @ Mets 4:10 PM PT (6:10 PM CT) 4/9/2019

Schoop clearly has some power.

Looking at him on the bench alongside Rosario and Buxton, man, I didn't realize what a physical beast he is. Could it be that AL East juice?

The Twins have a dangerous lineup this year, and Cruz wasn't even in the lineup today. Hopefully they can maintain this offense ability.

Very true statement.  If they keep up the momentum this might be one of the better hitting Twins teams I've seen in many many years.

[glunn]

Good time for De Jong to debut. He looks OK.

[glunn]

Uh-oh

[Dman]

Can  Chase get an out?

Might sound trite and obvious, and still early, but we aren't even hitting on all cylinders yet. Call me excited!

[operation mindcrime]

De Jong can take a cab to Rochester after tomorrow's game!

[MMMordabito]

DeJong looks like a September player on a 68-94 team.

[PseudoSABR]

Well DeJong looks to get sent down tomorrow, given both his performance and the amount of pitchers used.

[DocBauer]

Come on Chase, just finish it off!

[Dman]

He can't give up 10 runs can he?

Who is up next now that the crazy 10 day rule is over?

Better seats for the ninth inning

Are you on the actual field? Which one is you in this photo below?

Sure glad we got rid of Austin for the 12th arm insurance. Put Astudillo on the mound to finish this.

[Dman]

26 pitches and no outs.  Boo.

He must have thought he was going in to throw BP?

[DiscGolfer]

how about just one out

[Squirrel]

Come on ... ridiculous.

[ChrisKnutson]

My god when is Romero and Reed supposed to be back??

[Dman]

Time for a pitching change.

[MMMordabito]

Tyler Austin could have pitched this well.

[bighat]

Go get him Rocco.

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

Well, for a moment there I thought that last Schoop homer was a “low leverage” at bat...

[Squirrel]

It’s going to be 10-4 soon.

[David HK]

Boy, sure glad we got rid of that useless Austin guy so we could bring up Chase "Lights Out" DeJong.

[jokin]

Time for a pitching change.

Tyler Austin could have retired the side... ten minutes ago.

[ChrisKnutson]

Where’s Giminez when you need him??

[PseudoSABR]

Who is up next now that the crazy 10 day rule is over?

Probably a veteran like Duffey, to see if there's any thing left.

[glunn]

His inning started badly and his confidence is now shot. Plus he has thrown a lot of pitches.

[Squirrel]

I’m all for giving someone a chance but this is utterly ridiculous. If we lose this game, that will be just stupid.
