Blake Verified Member Posted April 10, 2019 Author Posted April 10, 2019 Any chance deGrom is tipping his pitches? Not that there's anything wrong with that.
bighat Verified Member Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 Awful AB by Schoop. This is a great game for the Twins - but it might be worth mentioning that he doesn't appear to be the player the Twins thought they were getting.
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 May 2014 since deGrom has given up three homers at home.
Mr. Brooks Verified Member Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 Not sure why Schoop’s in lineup tonight, but go Schoop! He's the starting second baseman, why wouldn't he be in the lineup?
Blake Verified Member Posted April 10, 2019 Author Posted April 10, 2019 It's early, but with three HR we are having fun. Hope you are enjoying the game too.Eh.
RGR71 Provisional Member Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 That was 1 of the funnest innings I've seen in awhile.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 Everything is beautiful!said the optimist, in the third inning
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 He's the starting second baseman, why wouldn't he be in the lineup?Yeah, it's him or Adrianza, and so that's a pretty easy choice.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 Just exactly what we didn't want.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 He's the starting second baseman, why wouldn't he be in the lineup?later
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 Just got home, listened to a few pitches in the car, threw something in the oven for supper, sat down to work on the checkbook...UGH...put put the game on just in time to watch BACK TO BACK HR from Rosario and Garver! Twins for the Twins! Yea for the good guys!! With all due respect to Castro, this shows further what Garver is capable of, not to mention Astudillo. No move should be made until it has to happen, but it's stuff like this that makes me feel when a roster crunch hits, it's time to think about youth, potential and the future. Let's go Gibby!
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 Wow, here have a strikeout Gibby
David HK Verified Member Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 Wow, just when you're wondering where all that thunder came from- against a premier pitcher, no less. Ahhhhh..... Gibby. Thanks for bringing us all back to earth.

Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 Geez, Astudillo would have to hit four home runs every game to make up for his deficiencies as a 1B.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 Yeah, it's him or Adrianza, and so that's a pretty easy choice. You could go Cron-Gonzalez-Polanco-Astudillo around the infield for a game or two, with Schoop not really doing much yet. Just my opinion.. And as I type, I think we’ve seen our last game with Astudillo at first.
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 Awful AB by Schoop. This is a great game for the Twins - but it might be worth mentioning that he doesn't appear to be the player the Twins thought they were getting. he does appear to be the player the Brewers let walk...
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 Rocco gonna be doing some managin’ tonight
drock2190 Verified Member Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 Kepler played that ball off the 2nd deck perfectly. That's a ballplayer, man.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 Gibson is not pushing off his heel. I think that was a thing back in spring training.
bighat Verified Member Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 Hope Rocco hits for Gibby here this time around. He's got nothing left unfortunately.

This is a great game for the Twins - but it might be worth mentioning that he doesn't appear to be the player the Twins thought they were getting. The weird thing is that his average and power are bad, but his OBP is so much higher than last season that his wRC+ is only a little worse than last year (77 vs 80). If he can play good D and eventually get the bat going by the time one or two other hitters inevitably cool off, then I'm not gonna worry. If the D isn't there and he's still scuffling along with a sub-.300 slugging average at the end of May... then I think I'll be schooped out.
bighat Verified Member Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 Hey Gibby with the sac bunt, how about that?
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 Hey Gibby with the sac bunt, how about that?big insurance run out there And we’re talking about insurance runs in the 4th inning
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 Nice closeups of Kepler squinting, like he just walked out of the gas chamber in boot camp with his arms flapping in the air. And of course he gets the RBI single
