To all the members of TD, I wish you all the best!

I have been a passionate fan and follower of the Twins for over 40 years. As I have mentioned before, my father, the best man I have ever known, a devoted follower but non contributor of the site, taught me the game in my youth, often while simply listening to the radio. We share a passion for our beloved Twins, or we wouldn't be here on a daily basis. And while all of us agree, or disagree, or agree to disagree, one thing binds us. We are, for better or worse, LOL, fans of the Twins.

Whether it is politically correct or not...and I dislike that term in general...I am a Christan man. But regardless of personal belief, or any religious belief, this IS a special time/day of the year. I want to put debate aside for a moment to wish a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa or simple Happy Holiday to all my Twins Fan brothers and sisters out there in internet land.

May you all be blessed!

And Merry Christmas to you, Doc.

And thanks for the kind thoughts.  Hope that everyone enjoys their celebration this year, however they choose to celebrate.

May the new year bring stability and peace to our nation and world, and lots of wins to the Twins this spring, summer and fall as they play well into October!

Peace on earth, good will toward man.

Except White Sox fans.

I have too many good friends and know too many good people who are White Sox fans so I wish them all peace and good will, even though they may be misguided.

Merry Christmas TD readers and writers. I remember one Christmas when I was a kid living in North Carolina,  I received a Christmas card from Zoilo Versalles. It said "Felice Navidad, Zoilo Versalles".  That was a kind gift from him, I was thrilled. When a person asks me how I became a Twins fan here in North Carolina, I tell them I was born in Washington DC...only to receive a blank stare from 90 % of them. I have lived in North Carolina since I was 5 years old. As a result, I have not had much access to written materials about the Senators/Twins, Being a Senators/Twins fan is, and has been, fun for me for many years.  This Twins Daily site is comprised of intelligent, polite people who are Twins fans who know more about baseball than I do, but who allow me to be a part of Twins Daily by reading your submissions and  allowing me to contribute my opinions. Thank you each and every one for this gift.

Dear Abby, Is this gentleman typical of Minnesotans in the winter? Or is this gentleman an exception?  Sign Me, A Curious North Carolinian

Dear Abby responds:

Yes

It said "Felice Navidad, Zoilo Versalles".

Great Cuban keystone combination. The Twins should have signed that other guy too.

Oh my head, a Lunch with Casey sighting. I went to Lake Harriet Elementary (which is now gone and condos live there) and would go home for lunch every day where my Grandma would feed me lunch while I watched Casey and Roundhouse. Thanks for the flashback.

From New Hampshire, Merry Christmas Doc and everyone. Go Twins.
