twins_89 Verified Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 If the Twins are keeping Belisle due to his locker-room presence, maybe they should just make him some sort of assistant coach instead of letting him continue to blow games.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 In an era when errors are almost never called, Sano has 5 in fewer than 30 games at 3b. It is another way his game has regressed from last year.
gil4 Verified Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Hi Van, As always, I'm looking for some hawt taeks. Just curious if you have the inside scoop on why Belisle is on the roster That taek is so hot I'm afraid your laptop will combust into flames. For your safety, I'm withholding that information. We just saw him pitch again, so we're willing to risk it.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 I know the FO signed Belisle, but, why is Molitor using him when there are other options? Of course, MoY did say there was no one in Triple A he wanted to see, so, I guess there's no youngster in the pen MoY wants to see either. He only has so many choices to use. In the 6th inning, MOY isn't going to use Hildy, Rodney, or Reed, and Moya has pitched 3 days in a row. Reed or May would have been a good choice, but this is just as much on the front office as it is in Molitor imo. Clearly Molly trusts Matt, but if the front office wouldn't have made the horrible choice to sign him, and then the even worse choice to keep him up here, Molitor wouldn't be able to use him.

And if they are, who, exactly, is he mentoring? The bullpen isn't exactly filled with young players. Nor is the OF or INF.....so, I am still boggled. Mind. boggled.
twins_89 Verified Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 I miss JT Chargois and do not understand why.... Sorry I'll stop It would be really nice to have JT Chargois or Randy Rosario (or soon Nick Burdi) instead of Belisle. Maybe the Pirates will stay in contention and send Burdi back when he comes off the DL in a couple of weeks.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Has he ever? There was that one game. I think it was a Friday.

gil4 Verified Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Ol CB not having a good night Has he ever?Sure, the umpires get days off occasionally. I bet he went to the movies Monday night.

It was the 7th, no? Why NOT Reed? Or May?

slash129 Verified Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Hunter needs to be DFA'd from the booth.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 I'm surprised that ball didn't roll to the wall!
S. Verified Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 The difference there is he had a good chance of making that play. The one the other night, he had next to no chance at all of making the catch but still dove for it anyways.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2018 Author Posted August 1, 2018 We just saw him pitch again, so we're wiling to risk it.As we all know, MoY owns a 1983 DeLorean DMC-12... It's public information! So he drives back in time to July 2017 and fondly relives every single moment of good Matty B... Ohh those were the days weren't they?! Molly remembers every perfect pitch and calls for Matty B EARLIER in the game... This is all in an alternate universe that only he knows. And Matty B is so good! Luckily he has an alarm set on his watch to fly back to the current date, and call up ol' reliable Matty B! When things go south like they do today, at least he can drive back in time to July 2017... And relive the glory days! Has any reputable reporter asked MoY if he knows what year it is? Or the current date? Good God, the media is soft.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Well, since you all have given up: DNA stands for "National Dyslexic Association."
slash129 Verified Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Reed looks like he has the flu or something.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 It was the 7th, no? Why NOT Reed? Or May?Oh. I am stupid. I thought it was the 6th inning the entire time. In that case, yeah, horrible move MOY.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 What was Reed’s velocity at the beginning of the year? Or last year?
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Reed looks like he has the flu or something. He did, but at least he got outs. How do you use Belisle in a 1 run game and then Reed in a 3 run game?!
twins_89 Verified Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Didn't Reed's fastball sit around 92 mph earlier in the season? Throwing 89-90 mph is a little concerning.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Great to see Kepler rip a solid double off one of the best lefty relievers in the AL
Blake Verified Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 OT-Holy Toledo, the Nats pounded the Mets, 25-4.

slash129 Verified Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Well, Sano probably won't strike out in this game, so there's that.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Great to see May back on the mound
