My guess is, there is a pretty good chance Polanco is the starting SS next year, and very little chance Adrianza is starting anywhere next year. Why would you take Polanco off short?

I researched my assumption that Adrianza is a better SS than Polanco, and see in SSS Polanco is just slightly below average and a bit better this year than Ehire, for what it’s worth. (UZR150)

 

So I’m back tracking from my original statement. If the plan is to have Polanco start at SS next year, he should stay there.

At this point, I really don't think money is the reason Belisle is still on the roster. But, I don't have any other valid explanation so I'm not exactly sure what the hell is going on.
