I'd put Wilson in that category too.

The difference is that there aren’t any catchers in the top levels of the minors that need to be evaluated for potentially being a regular next year. There are 2-3 1b/dh types in AAA that should be evaluated: Austin, Wade and maybe Vargas.

While true, my point is that Garver should be playing virtually every day. Today isn't a day game after a night game, so there isn't any reason that I can see for Wilson getting the starting nod.

To be fair, while I'm sure he'll be credited with a sac, it looked to me to be more of a bunt for a hit, with the secondary benefit of moving the runner if he's out.

Vanimal - when are they going to put you in the booth with Bert.  They have a lot of people rotate in and out of there as fill-ins and I am sure it is only a matter of time for you to show off your expertise to the Fox North audience. 

 

I am assuming they were going to save your for play-off games, but since that is no longer looking like a sure-thing, will you make your TV debut in August (and then hopefully again in the play-offs if we do make the cut)?
