slash129 Verified Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 Ladies and gentlemen: Jake Cave, major league center fielder.Yeah, good night for Cave. I was surprised he got anything over the plate with 2 out and Wilson on deck.
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 Wilson's OPS is under .400Dozier's OPS is under .700As of 9:35 PM Dozier OPS .694Garver OPS .692Wilson OPS .394 (Batting Average .114)
kydoty Verified Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 Jake Cave is 25 years old and has gray facial hair. I’d say he’s had it rough, but then I remember he’s making $400,000 this year.
wabene Verified Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 Still could get a save! Love that stat!!
jun Verified Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 Any particular reason why Slegers was taken out after 72 pitches aside from running through the bullpen yet again?Molitor loves to see his favorites on the mound.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 Today is Felix Jorge's birthday he's 25!
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 I've been following Slegers at AAA this season. He tends to run into trouble around that point in the game. I think the big club is just taking it easy with him, for now.Yes, but that was against superior AAA hitters. This was against Machad0, Schoop and 7 other punchless Judys.

David HK Verified Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 Busy day at school today, only checking in occasionally.Question: can LoMo get to .200 before Bobby gets to .100?The race is on! Place your bets, folks!
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 The start of an 11 game winning streak!!If it happens, we'll give you full credit for calling it.
jun Verified Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 The best part of Cave’s terrific evening, is that hopefully we will not be seeing Grossman as often! It probably won't change much. Wilson has been terrible all season. We are still seeing him more and more. Molitor hardly pinch hit for Wilson. Someone must be in love with Wilson.
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 Winnar winnar, chicken dinnar! (It's just against the Orioles, so I don't want to over do it.)
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 You're watching the season. I'm watching the game. One game does not salvage a season when we're almost to the all-star break. He was solid at the plate tonight. Good for him. Now do it for another 80 games.

jokin Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 CaveMan, unfrozen! Our world no longer frightens and confuses him.Buxton's going to have a tough time getting his spot back (maybe Buck's solution is to go even MORE caveman than Jake? Imagine Buxton with a full Dallas Kuechel beard?)

curt1965 Verified Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 I’d love for Molitor to think outside the box just ONCE, and try a different lineup. How does this sound: Polanco-SSKepler-RFMauer-1BRosario-LFEscobar-3BMorrison-1BCave-CFGarver-CDozier-2B
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 The best part of Cave’s terrific evening, is that hopefully we will not be seeing Grossman as often!I heard Byron Buxton;s new nickname down in Rochester is Pipp....
adorduan Verified Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 Cave is making Grossman look pretty expendable.....

jokin Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 We have a minor league forum area. It might be more your cup of tea.I only drink coffee and juice. And I seem to recall you making a jibe or two at the Orioles level of play on this thread. My comment was I thought obviously in the spirit of the collected wisdom of TD participants- who see two teams that are obviously seriously off the rails and about to be completely blown up.
Fritzderkat Verified Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 Am I the only one who wondered why MOY didn't pinch hit Austadillo or Garver for Wilson with two out and the bases loaded?
