jun Verified Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 Wilson's OPS is under .400Dozier's OPS is under .700
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 Pretty slick catch with his back to home plate, by Dozier.
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 You can tell his parents are ballet dancers, on that catch by Kepler.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 Why do batters always look back to the pitchers after they make an out? It’s the damn pitcher’s fault?Pretty sure the pitchers claim it is during contract negation.
curt1965 Verified Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 What is Molitor’s infatuation with Reed? Slegar’s pitches his butt off, and now Reed. (Throwing up in my mouth)
BoofBonser Verified Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 Twins are going to win 11 games in a row, and I don't care how ugly it's going to be
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 Any particular reason why Slegers was taken out after 72 pitches aside from running through the bullpen yet again?
wabene Verified Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 70 some pitches and they pull him? I just don't get it. Ride the hot young arm!
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 I wonder how that conversation goes when you pull your healthy starter who's cruising after 72 pitches? I also wonder how the conversation goes after the reliever who's been running on fumes for a month gives up a meatball HR?
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 This guy for the Orioles brings the heat!
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 Slegers out after 72 pitches. Apparently, MOY doesn’t believe in not needlessly overusing the bullpen.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 The longer the season gets, the more I believe a Twins Daily poster could manage this team better than the Twins are doing it. Slegers stays in the 7th, Wilson isn't the starting catcher, Dozier isn't hitting 3rd... it's more a sign that Molitor is doing a bad job rather than the lot of us being smart.
GCTF Verified Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 Any particular reason why Slegers was taken out after 72 pitches aside from running through the bullpen yet again? So he can make his flight back to Rochester on time?
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 I haven't seen that article. I guess being a Twins fan we get ticked when we don't sign guys to high dollar contracts, but honestly, they aren't conducive to success. Has Davis been worth it since signing that huge deal? Only four seasons of +.800 OPS in 11 years as a major league ball player. And people want to complain about Mauer's huge contract...Can't people complain about both?
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 So he can make his flight back to Rochester on time? For the Win.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 So, who trusts Rodney to get the 9th?
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 Slegers out after 72 pitches. Apparently, MOY doesn’t believe in not needlessly overusing the bullpen.I checked: Double negative verdict - Unnecessary but accurate and acceptable. Statement verdict - Unnecessary and unacceptable but accurate.
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 So, who trusts Rodney to get the 9th? Not I.
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 What is Molitor’s infatuation with Reed? Slegar’s pitches his butt off, and now Reed. (Throwing up in my mouth)I've been following Slegers at AAA this season. He tends to run into trouble around that point in the game. I think the big club is just taking it easy with him, for now.
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 LoMo and Kep bring us a much needed insurance run.

nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 I think we needed that run. Nice hit Max.
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 Ladies and gentlemen: Jake Cave, major league center fielder.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 I don't not never fail to get confused by more than double negatives. Two wrongs don't make a right. But I guess in this case three do?
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 @ashburyjohn He's up to .194!You're watching the season. I'm watching the game.
curt1965 Verified Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 The best part of Cave’s terrific evening, is that hopefully we will not be seeing Grossman as often!
