ashbury Verified Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 And I seem to recall you making a jibe or two at the Orioles level of play on this thread.Sure, the Orioles made a bad play or two. In this game. I commented about those. In this game thread. Sweeping generalizations are for elsewhere. To make a sweeping generalization.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 Was. He's dead to us now. Oops. I made a mistake! It's Jorge Polanco's birthday. Sorry my bad.
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 Winnar winnar, chicken dinnar! (It's just against the Orioles, so I don't want to over do it.) ashburyjohn on 05 July 10:16PM Sure the Orioles made a bad play or two. I commented about those in this game thread. The first post is exactly in the "spirit" of highly diminished reward- (after a disastrous and embarrassing roadtrip)- for an empty victory against an equally floundering team- in which most TDers share equal parts frustration and anger at a team in the midst of both inexplicable and explicable collapse- and... looking at the entire thread, most chose to vent in ways surprisingly similar to your "hollow gourmet victory dinner for two" visual. PS- Slegers and Cave were awesome tonight, one part of the "solution"- after all, "sweeping generalizations" can only start with individual game performance analysis- is for even more of the fringiest League Minimum $ guys on the roster to play this well and humiliate and hopefully wake up "The Walking Dead" regulars. (ie, Buxton had the night off, I hope he was watching!).

jkcarew Verified Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 Am I the only one who wondered why MOY didn't pinch hit Austadillo or Garver for Wilson with two out and the bases loaded? If I can trust the defense of the other catcher. So...no. You’re up 3-1 in the 6th. The guy I pinch hit with has a 65% of making an out. And if I trusted the other guys to perform behind the plate and help protect the 2-run lead, I wouldn’t have started Wilson in the first place. He’ll be pinch hit for when behind...never when ahead. This is what’s going through Molitor’s head here...and in this case, I can’t blame him.
Jerr Verified Member Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 I’d love for Molitor to think outside the box just ONCE, and try a different lineup. How does this sound:Polanco-SSKepler-RFMauer-1BRosario-LFEscobar-3BMorrison-1BCave-CFGarver-CDozier-2BTwo 1st baseman??????? So, who's on first????
