This is just plain ugly!  Yes, the heat is brutal, but aren't both teams playing on the same field?  Maybe it is time to put the 26th player option in effect for all Interleague play as well as double headers? 

 

Although half the season remains, I don't know if the players we should be getting in the next week to ten days (Polanco and maybe Buxton) will make that much of a difference.  So when do we start thinking about next years draft and how high our pick can be?

What happened to "nothing but rain"? Flies aren't supposed to drop. Will other teams come up and say "Excuse me, but your fly has dropped." Could be a mite embarrassing... But i suppose there are worse things than embarrassment.

Would it not have made more sense to move Adrianza to CF, Astudillo to 3B and Escobar to SS? Brutal outfield right. Tough conditios no doubt, but it's kinda odd.
