Game Thread: Twins @ Tigers 6:10pm 6/12/2018 AD

That worked out as planned.

[yarnivek1972]

Hard to keep a team from scoring when you give them 5 outs.

[Danchat]

Oh great, now it's a one run game, and we all know how good the Twins are at winning those.

[Vanimal46]

Dumb throw Escobar...

[yarnivek1972]

That was such a nasty inning, I need a shower.

[David HK]

Heh....

Trying like hell to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

[jtkoupal]

Can someone explain how it's possible for a different, almost convenient aspect of the game to go wrong every single game?

If there are baseball gods, they do not like the 2018 Twins

Exhibit A: the Twins 2016 season

And it was much worse than this...

There are indeed, and I wholeheartedly agree— they do not.

[snepp]

Attaboy Sanosie.

[bighat]

Kepler's been bad lately, Dozier's asleep. Nice RBI for Sano there. Hope the Twins can hold on here and win this opener.

[snepp]

It's good to see Ron again (I missed the last series). May need an image update though....

[mrmpls]

Nice job Trevor H.

[LaBombo]

Hildenbergsie 1, Rally Geese 0.

[Aggies7]

Got to watch Rochester muster a whole 2 hits in the second game of a DH tonight. Joe went 0-6 and played in both games as DH. Vargas did nothing. Moya started and looked strong, only threw 3 innings. Duffey also looked good.

He looks good! The time off did him well!

Naah, that still captures the essence of Happy Gardy, that of a whimsical, carefree, roaming baseball gnome.

And then there's his dark side, reserved mostly for bad umpiring... angry South Pole elf:

Can't help but pity any umpire who sees Angry Gardy approaching and greets him with "... look at yooou!"

Is it contagious?

Can I have some?

You are more than welcome to some of mine. A little can go a long way.
