Egads.  I was thinking about Colon today, and was kind of relieved that the Twins weren't mentioned as a potential option.  I figured we'd be better off with guys like Jorge in the mix.  Now, not so sure.  I can't imagine Colon could be worse than Santiago at this point, for what that's worth....hmm.

I don't want to be Captain Hindsight, but the jump from AA to the majors is a very big one... Jorge needs some time in AAA before he's ready. I don't think Gonsalves or Romero are going to help this rotation in 2017, but neither is Colon or most other fringe veteran guys the Twins have tried.

Felix may have been cooked tonight but he ain't done cooking yet. 

 

I was encouraged by that change of his and I think he can build off of it and we will see him down the line pitching decently for us.

He's 23 and couldn't miss bats in the upper minors. There's a good chance his stuff may just not play. Not writing him off - but certainly not a good first impression, so far. I'd like to see Fernando Romero get a chance at some point.
