I follow this rule pretty closely...except for when it involves my wife in which case I usually go with some random age well north of retirement age.  I like to live dangerously.

I wonder if this phrase changes when you reach the North Pole?

If I run into Santa, I'll have to ask.

That's a great story! You don't see it much anymore where a person stays at a company for 20 years. You're one of the lucky ones!

I've been with my current employer for 27 years.

I'm going to have to let them know they need to fix the glitch in their payroll system...

I'm disappointed that this isn't a gif.  Just for that, I'm taking his stapler.

I got sober at age 36.  That wasn't the best year (because learning to live like a sober adult SUCKS when you're 36), but it did help pave the road for better years ahead.  I'd have to say this year (42) has been my best.  I'm in the best shape of my life since my early 20's, have a great job and moved into a new house with the ladyfriend.

The adventure isn't over, I feel like it's only just begun :)

Well done, that takes a lot of courage and humility. Don't ever take what you've accomplished for granted.

Great setup today. Thanks, diehard.

I lived in the Boston area for 3 years. The driving was no fun and the weather was worse. However, the women were unforgettable and remain so.

I am praying that the Twins score more runs tonight.

Me too!  Not sure what it is about the Twins, but when they play the "big boys" outside of the division, the bats go dead quiet.

So far, the Giminez home run has been the highlight of the series.  We need a bit more hitting from the rest of the guys (cough SANO! cough) if there's any chance to take a game.

rib soreness.

My ribs are often sore after reading through game thread comments.  I guess I should miss work more often.

I thought that only pertained to leg soreness.  (ducks)

i would think ducks suffer more from bilateral wing soreness...

Do geese suffer from this ailment too?

rib soreness.

Reminds me when I was a kid and one of my younger brothers tried to get out of eating whatever food he didn't like at supper; "My leg hurts, my arm hurts, my heart hurts" and on to whatever anatomical part would draw the correct amount of sympathy and he'd be excused from the table. My mother, God-bless her Irishwoman heart, finally put an end to it by promising my brother his butt was going to hurt if he didn't stop making stuff up and clean up his plate. He eventually grew to 260 lbs. Twins take note. There's some lesson in there about unintended consequences. Be careful you don't outsmart yourselves.

I had some geese once. Obnoxious beasts. They eventually expired from unilateral neck soreness. Could be the next ailment to hit the Twins bullpen.
