Belise is dfa'd, right? This dude is, has been terrible all year.

I think he has to be. It's June 11 and his ERA is over 8 now. We can't keep using the couple bad games excuse at this point. No point in keeping him as a long/mop up man if he's going to be this bad either

Can you imagine the reaction from other teams/fans when the Twins trot out a guy with a ERA above 8 to protect a one-run lead in the 7th or 8th inning?

 

They have to be equal parts baffled and giddy.

This is why I always catch flak from the Midwest folks, being an east coast guy. Some fan bases would run you out of town for the in game management of PM

I've been a huge Molitor supporter. But, you could pluck a member of an uncontacted tribe from the Amazon and get better bullpen management.

 

This still goes back to the FO, who were touted by everyone as young pitching savants. Their one move was Belisle. It's going to cost this team a division championship and playoff birth.
