Blake Verified Member Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 I won't stand for it.Considering you're probably sitting as you type, not sure why you bring this up.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 I'll be golfing all next week in PHX. Is it hot there, this time of the year? No. Its three or four levels past hot.

ashbury Verified Member Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 Does driving through count as visiting?OKC isn't very interesting to drive through when going west, but I remember as a kid when riding back east on route 66, the desolate western landscape starts to green up when you get near the city, and thus I have unreasonably fond memories of the area.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 Hmmm.. Ok. Maybe I'll buy sunscreen, and a fan thingy then. Maybe even drink water.Hahahahahahahaha. Sunscreen. ... Hahahahahahahahahaha.

70charger Verified Member Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 Wut?I'm just trying to figure out why people don't like my town. People who don't like L.A. haven't done L.A. right. "Ugh, I went to Disneyland and the Walk of Fame, and I thought it would be great, but I just didn't like L.A. at all..." Yeah, no **** you didn't.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 No.Its three or four levels past hot.June, in Phoenix? Normally, it's nice and cool...compared to July and August....

"Ugh, I went to Disneyland and the Walk of Fame, and I thought it would be great, but I just didn't like L.A. at all..." Yeah, no **** you didn't. This was in 1979. I lived in West Hollywood for a bit and then on Pico and Crenshaw for about 7 months while I took the bus into Hollywood to study at the Hollywood Magic shop. That doesn't exist anymore, I'm told. A guy was murdered right outside the place I was living at; drug deal gone bad is my understanding. I don't actually hate LA, it just pales next to San Francisco, Sacramento, and Long Beach in my memories.

Dave The Dastardly Verified Member Posted June 2, 2017 Author Posted June 2, 2017 I was in LA once, 2003 to be exact, it's okay, the weather is nice. I stopped at the Rainbow Room with some friends and I seen the Actor Judd Nelson and Adult Film Actor Ron Jeremy sitting at a booth having some kind of meeting of the minds. I wonder what they were talking about?I gotta wonder... how did you recognize the guy as a porno actor? Was he just hanging out?

Blake Verified Member Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 I lived in OK for a year, Stillwater, to be exact. (This was during the Carter presidency) It was my first experience with a real winter. Snow drifts, cold, etc. Granted, the snow didn't stick around but man, that wind, with nothing to stop it, chewed right through you. Fun times.
