jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Good to see Vargas getting the green light for a nice, hard swing. I was afraid he'd try for a gapper, then try to leg out a triple!
bighat Verified Member Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Castro should be hitting 8th, no more of this nonsense hitting in front of Polanco, Escobar, Rosario, etc.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 This guy is really digging his own grave, man.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 And Tennesse??????? I have the actual article from the Paris Tennessee Newspaper. A 25 year old man fell into a river in Paris Tennessee last night. I know that we don't have an actual river here in Paris but out of boredom I'm writing that sentence to see how many people read it and notice.
Oldgoat_MN Verified Member Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Castro should be hitting 8th, no more of this nonsense hitting in front of Polanco, Escobar, Rosario, etc. Based on both his career numbers and this year, absolutely.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 That bar of Ivory Soap rolled up in my shirt sleeve didn't fool anyone, did it.Well, if you hadn't tried that with a plaid, short-sleeved, button down cotton shirt instead of a tshirt, you might have had a slight chance of being believable. Oh, and the pocket protector didn't help your 'ruse,' either.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 We give. Why?That's just another of the unanswerable riddles by Lewis Carroll. Alice In Wonderland was full of them.
Oldgoat_MN Verified Member Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Vargas with 5 RBI.It's the 3rd inning!
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 I could do what buxton just did if I tried hard enough
spinowner Provisional Member Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Catches like that are fun to watch, and I'll bet they're way more fun to make.
Linus Verified Member Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Vargas has a more compact swing than Buxton. BB should take notice. Oh and nice catch.
David HK Verified Member Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Oh please. Announcers saying part of Mauer's problem is Target. He had very good seasons in 2010, 2012, 2013 (3rd, 4th and 5th best OPS+, all at 140 or higher). His problems started with the concussion. Why it continues is anyone's guess. What, he's shopping online during the game?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 FTFM. Fixed That For Me.Yeah, I don't think you needed to clarify that with anyone. We know.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Speaking of the Nile. It's ok, I guess, but I'm a bigger fan of the smaller rivers that find their way into it. The Juveniles.
AZTwin Verified Member Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Vargas with 5 RBI.It's the 3rd inning! Is he on pace to have more RBIs this game than Buxton will have all season?
bighat Verified Member Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Kennys Vargas. Kennys. Bugs me when Dick (of all people) doesn't pronounce it right!
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Buxton simply has another gear when he needs it out there.
Darius Verified Member Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Good grief, Byron. Just give him all of the Gold Glove's for next decade right now.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 A man fell in a river in Cairo. What did his psychiatrist say? OK... I got this one... The Man was in Da NILE Unless of course... It's Cairo Illinois. Then... the psychiatrist was be asking his bookkeeper if the man had paid his bill yet.
bighat Verified Member Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Vargas with 5 RBI.It's the 3rd inning! Eat your heart out, Anthony Rendon!
Pardon My Dinger Verified Member Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 So last Friday my team left work early for 2:30 happy hour... Wally Workhard on another team didn't like that and called our CEO to tattle on us. As a result, we're here until 7 tonight. But, we're making lemonade out of lemons and ordering pizza. So, still winning?I didn't know you were in the lemonade business.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Dear Paul, Please keep finding a place for Vargas in your lineup Sincerely, Riverbrian
Linus Verified Member Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Bert: 3 headed horse. He is a beauty (sort of).
