Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 There's a couple that are ahead of him... Tonkin and Breslow. Don't forget Belisle--he seems to be tossing his hat in the ring.
KirbyDome89 Verified Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Good to see they have decided to channel the Royals pen....
bighat Verified Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Welp, the offense didn't capitalize on opportunities against a bad pitcher, and the Twins 'pen came in and blew the lead. Deja Vu all over again....
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 And people are saying we should stick with this bullpen, because we can't afford to lose the depth.....
Oldgoat_MN Verified Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Well that sucked....Yes. Yes it did.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Score some %**(($)'ing runs, already.
twinssporto Verified Member Posted April 20, 2017 Author Posted April 20, 2017 I should have followed my own advice in the Game Thread Intro and just gone crappie fishing. Instead I get crappie baseball. Ervin looked good though...
Darius Verified Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Sure wouldve been nice if this team would've used that huge pile of money to bring in a real reliever. That bullpen is crashing back down to earth like an asteroid. Absolutely unwatchable. Just look at the relievers on the 40-man roster. My God. Was this a moritorium on spending from the Pohlad's, or what's the real situation here? So many wins left on the table.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 I used to think they should just let Buxton struggle through it and stay up because of his defense. At what point do you say you have to send him down so that his confidence at the plate is not completely destroyed? June. Middle of June.
gocgo Verified Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Buxton is going to hit his first home run of the year....a bold call from the sidelines.
Jerr Verified Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Buxton is at .082 batting average, I wonder how low it can go, as he is lost at the plate..............
wavedog Verified Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Buxton is due - let's tie it up!!
twinssporto Verified Member Posted April 20, 2017 Author Posted April 20, 2017 Let me paint a beautiful mental picture: Imagine what this offense would be like if: Dozier started hitting .250Mauer started hitting .225Sano started hitting .250Rosario starting hitting .225Buxton started hitting over .100

HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Escobar pinch hitting for Buxton. So, am I to assume: Escobar to 3rd and Sano to Rightfield?

Comrade Bork Verified Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 The third pitching change in an inning should cost a run. This is brutal.
