operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Cole Hamels is our biatch!
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Vargas is looking a lot more mature at the plate. Much shorter swing, and willing to take a walk. Hamels - gone.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Byron Buxton has a right knee contusion and he's listed as day to day.False. It's a bruise. Much different.

LaBombo Verified Member Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Saaaa NOSIE! Sorry that was late. Bathroom break. Eduardo "Headless" Nunez may not even finish in the AL top 5 in stolen bases, but just seeing him tied for the lead in July is pretty cool. Who was the last Twin to manage that? Knoblauch, like 20 years ago?
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Heh, I just saw that Chris Sale gave up 8 runs to the Braves today. So much for these aces like Hamels and Sale...

wavedog Verified Member Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 This was probably mentioned before - maybe even by me but For a team that bunts so much we are sure not good at it.
Tovar12 Verified Member Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Did Nunez do that on his own, or was he told to bunt with 2 strikes?
spinowner Provisional Member Posted July 9, 2016 Author Posted July 9, 2016 Molitor out-managed on that one.
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Did Nunez do that on his own, or was he told to bunt with 2 strikes?Umm, Paul Molitor calling for a bunt on 2 strikes? No.
Linus Verified Member Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 On this night of positivity I would like to say that Gibson, ah sucks. Half the time he pitches, including tonight, he looks afraid to throw a strike. I think he needs a big old burley catcher to threaten him with his life if he doesn't start challenging hitters.

At least that bunt attempt was with two strikes. Really caught'em by surprise. ... as did the steal attempt. Caught'em by surprise.

wavedog Verified Member Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Lesson 101 on how to bungle an inning. After a leadoff hit - have your best hitter bunt which he cannot do successfully, then get the runner thrown out on a pitchout because it was that obvious it was coming. Finished off by the ump missing ball 4 and calling it strike 3 instead.
