I'm sitting here, wait for the muse to strike and, managed to strike out. For some reason, getting to first base was rather troublesome as I worked on getting this thread ready for publication. Even when I got a few things lined up to score for my writing, in the end, I had trouble making enough solid contact to bring things home.

Then, when my writing started to look promising, it again let me down, to the point I wondered why I even continued.

Luckily, I stuck with it, (pipe down, over there, yes, I mean you, Mr Twinsnorth...no comments about whether I should have continued my efforts and should have retired my word processor years ago. So what if I'll never make the big leagues. I have a dream, baby!) even with a disastrous start to my writing this year. Sometimes, one has to keep plugging along, one word at a time, and eventually the sentences will come.

Hmm, there seems to be a allusion buried somewhere within that writing. Interesting. I'll have to call for a ruling on that. Chief? What say you?

The Twins, much like my writing, have struggled this year. The Twins have obviously not played up to their potential. But, like the masochists, I mean, fans we are, we're here for the long haul. The Twins may not win this year, but, this year looks to be a rookiepalooza! So, win?

Go Twins!

Oh, yeah, things to think about:

1. Mom.

2. Apple Pie.

3. Baseball.

4. Hot Dogs.

5. Peanuts and Crackerjacks.

That's all, folks!!

Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more;

Or close the wall up with our English dead.

In peace there's nothing so becomes a man

As modest stillness and humility;

But when the blast of war blows in our ears,

Then imitate the action of the tiger. . . .

That is; in play (runs).

I think the ability to edit one's posts lasts only an hour, at most. So, if you edit within the hour, should be fine. :)

Considering the Twins are incredibly slow when it comes to getting lineups out...

Anyway, yesterday, I posted the game thread from Phoenix and did the lineups from Bakersfield. Just a bit more than an hour. :)

Be that a lesson to you ... buy the internet and do it from the air :)

Who would have thunk that in May the Twins would have Nunez trying to play SS and leading off, Mastroianni would be in CF and batting 7th, and that Murphy would be such a total disaster that Juan Centeno would be up catching?

Not me. Probably not Ryan either.

Yup, and we all thought Nolasco would be the biggest problem on this team.

You can never predict what's going to happen.

Apparently the Twins want to see the future without a Mauer in the lineup--or was he waived too?

Maybe Centeno thought it could happen, that's about it.

Well, at least Molitor only had Mastroianni leading off for one game.

Seriously, I have to ask what Molitor was thinking. Might as well as lead off with Rosario.

"What say you?"

Yes.

//duh-uh//

I now feel like the teacher who thought they caught a student napping.

One of the BEST Twins benches ever: Mauer, Dozier, Suzuki, Santana. It msut be a tough line-up to crack. Let's give Duff every chance in the world to win this game!

How about we work Mauer into the lineup today and give Mastroianni a much needed day off

I think Molly was just hell bent on giving Mauer a day off and Park ruined those plans yesterday.

Part of that players wishing their Mom's a Happy Mother's day montage.

Trevor May said "I love you Mom... I wouldn't be where I am without you"

The question has been answered... It was Mom who forced him into the bullpen.

Dear Paul,

Nunez needs to stay in the lineup

If you started the season with him down on the depth chart

I'd adjust

Sincerely,

In the first inning.

Fine him.

I thought ... okay, I'll watch the game today ... after that 1st half inning, I might just turn the channel. Better yet ... I'm going to do chores.
