There are Twins fans who still can't spell Mauer correctly.  Spelling isn't high on any list of competency. :-)

 

I know and I have Twins Fans in my neighborhood who start up their Mauer at 7AM on a Saturday morning.

Does this mean Fien gets sent down?  Yet another inning with runs scored for him.  Seems like the needs to be some equity.  Meyer gets treated like crap and his confidence dinged.  But good forbid Hughes or Fien or any of the other underperforming veterans gets held accountable.

Going into today, Mauer's OBP was 41 points higher than any other AL regular.  41 points. And he's 2 for 3.  He's gotten on base every game.
