diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 Jepsen is in... Guess even Molitor is giving up.

hybridbear Verified Member Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 Who's taking the over on 0.5 runs given up by Jepsen this inning? I'll take the over. Edit: Detroit just got a hit. Who'll take the over on 1.5 runs given up by Jepsen this inning?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 I saw a Carly Rae jepsen cd in the bargain bin at target yesterday. I feel like our whole team belongs there at this point.

Reider Verified Member Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 Well, you know what they say...go to a ball game and you're likely to see something you've never seen before.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nKgy2j2uVpI
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 Does Jack Goin still work for the Twins? Still drop in here occasionally? Could somebody ask him if he's told Molitor that sac bunting is stupid? Really, really stupid if the next two hiters up are Eddie Rosario against a LHer, and Danny Santana? I'm done with Molitor. Done. There was ZERO reason to let Nolasco give up the lead. That's just, so, blindingly easy to foresee. Once he gave up the two out double to Martinez, he should never have thrown another pitch. But no, he sees not one, but two more hitters, until the lead is gone. And THEN, of course, removes him. Why then? If he was good to go to face the tieing run, he should be good to go for the next hitter, amiright? Removing him immediately AFTER the HR only confirms what everybody already knew...you waited too long.
hybridbear Verified Member Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 Why isn't Molitor using Abad in the high leverage situations? It seems that he's been a good pick up. Another drop by Escobar...
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 It's not over until... um... the Yogi Berrisms run dry! We can still do it.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 32 hits now in the series for Detroit.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 Why doesn't Detroit shift for Dozier?

Darius Verified Member Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 This bullpen just cannot throw up a zero. And Sano made the most idiotic base running mistake possible. This team is a disaster.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 You've got to be f-ing kidding me. What a stupid stupid team. Vikings open in 4 months.
hybridbear Verified Member Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 What a stupid base running mistake by Sano!!!! Tony Oliva in the Spanish broadcast said "oh no!" as soon as Sano rounded 2nd. Everyone knew he would be out.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 Off for a tough road trip. I'm a bit worried they could drop back in the standings a little on this trip, and squander all the good work of the homestand.
Platoon Verified Member Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 I was lucky enough to to catch up on TIVO in the bottom of the ninth. Maybe lucky is a poor choice of words. Sheesh

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 Well, some players lost their jobs after last Sunday's debacle. Maybe it's time for some coaches/management to start losing theirs. What a train wreck.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 I cannot scapegoat Sano for that baserunning move. He is trying to make something happen. You can count on one hand the number of people in this dugout trying to make something happen.
Platoon Verified Member Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 Even though there are about 8000 ways to lose a baseball game, there is still a chance they will cover all of them before the year is out!

People will focus on Sano's gaffe--and it was a gaffe, a bad one--while ignoring Molitor made at least two worse decisions.
