I usually trust the numbers and the averages to tell me what's likely to happen over the course of a season, but I can't get past these facts:

The Twins sucked for four years.  They brought in a clubhouse leader and veteran who shook things up and brought some chemistry to the table and they had a winning season.  That guy left and they went right back to being awful.

I don't think it's a coincidence.  Mauer, Plouffe, and Dozier are not leaders.  Everybody else is more-or-less a rookie.  This team is spineless and gutless and doesn't have a single person who can get in people's faces or fire people up or call a clubhouse meeting or even throw a freaking dance party.  Again, I'm a numbers guy, but all that stuff is important.

I have said the same thing, mostly.......a math guy, who believes in culture, and am wondering just how important Hunter is/was....

I'm a sad, sad bear.

Don't worry.   The sheer improbability of continued losses will eventually catch up with the Twins, they'll somehow end up with a win, everyone will smile, and we'll all bravely move on to the next major losing streak with a spring in our step!!!

Sorry, I'm going to be grumpy and say that Park should be standing on third instead of admiring a long double.  Where is the fundamentals and focus for crimes sake?!

Thank God MLB.tv allows you to pick which broadcast team you want regardless of the video feed.

Out of curiosity, what operating system and browser do you use?  I just tried a bunch of different ones on Windows and Mac and couldn't get that option to display.

Morneau and Hunter are both options. Let's sign them up. When things go poorly, they can just beat the s-word out of each other. bada-bing, bada-boom.

Buxton to the DL right now would be a good thing for him.

That's exactly what I thought.   A 'rehab' assignment to rehab his swing could be a much better way back than noodling around in AAA and worrying about outcomes instead of process.

Are you really a "numbers guy" if you rely on 7 games to tell the tale? Sounds to me like you're unsure of how statistics actually work.

Windows 10 with Google Chrome.  Would me being out of the area have anything to do with it?

Yes!

As my father would say, he pissed on that ball.  I can't believe it didn't leave the yard.

Was Park's double "even a blind man can hit a double sometimes" or was it HE HIT A DOUBLE kind of double?

I thought it was gone off the bat.

My CPU is a neural-net processor, a learning computer.
