LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Given that Dozier has 7 homers in his last 292 plate appearances, I'm not sure how bankable his power actually is. I hear yah, and yet compared to his current light sweet crude .270 OBP, the iffy power stroke might be Swiss francs bankable. Either way, he's gotta get on track or they're dead in the water.
James Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Is this really a thing? I'm out of state. If you have a ticket stub from the game.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 SIT HIS ASS DOWN! UNACCEPTABLE!
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Not able to watch the video feed at work... Does the MLB Network or whoever's broadcasting the game have an Audra reporting from the stands? If it's the FSN broadcast, then yes. I saw a lot of Audra last night.
70charger Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 So, I'm in the IT biz...just had a user, friend of mine..well, might be "used to be a friend of mine" send me an email asking how to enable cookies. I replied: Look for a button that says “macaroons” once you find that button, click on it and select “enable cookies” What the heck, a little IT snipe hunting never hurt anyone, right? Was this before or after you suggested he turn it off and back on again?
woolywoolhouse Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 The Twins should call timeout to review with Rosario what you need to do when you get on base, given that this isn't something he's experienced in some time. Apparently they should have done just this...
PopRiveter Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Thank you Rosario. We were starting to get uncomfortable. Not sure what to do when a base runner advances that far.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 If you have a ticket stub from the game.Oh, I thought that might be for anyone in FSN/SA area -- that they were so confident in poor hitting to make this discount for all.
SirLoin Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Probably, which is a big factor in its favor at this point. In all seriousness, there's pretty good statistical evidence to support the idea that the high-obp, non-sluggy guy like Mauer is closer to the ideal for a leadoff hitter than a .320 OBP speedster. Or a .220 OBP speedster, for that matter. And given that Dozier's power is probably a more bankable part of his game than OBP or speed, there's not a lot of risk in making the switch.
Puckett34 Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 This is why we cannot have nice things
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 It is. It used to be 1 cent off each time a Twins batter strikes out, but SA was losing thousands, so they switched it to hits. Heh. That, and the morbid obesity running rampant from the 'cent off per Twins batter K' donut promotion...
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Plouffe looks pretty terrible at the plate
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Apparently they should have done just this... I know of what I speak.
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Plouffe looks pretty terrible at the plate How does he look at the bowl?
70charger Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Well, I muted the Chicago broadcast. It's painful. I can't do it.
Blake Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Sano has a hit and made solid contact. Progress!
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Dang! I used up my 'like' quota! I forgot that was a thing. It didn't reset at midnight? Everybody give yourself at least three likes just for showing up.
Doubles Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Good gravy, here's what I felt like trying to determine what happened when Rosario made that out on the bases on the ball Mauer hit based on Gladden's 'call'.

Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 I'm ready to see Arcia start for the next two weeks.
70charger Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Well, I don't really like myself so I can't do this out of principle. Crap, I just liked that. My bad.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Thanks for the support. Next issue of the newsletter might not be out for a couple of days, though. Being down on the Twins has made me determined to do something positive with my afternoon so I'm saving the planet with some extra recycling...
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Well.....Sano does have a cannon for an arm
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 I see Mauer got credited with a fielder's choice for Eddie's bone-headed running mistake. There was no way he was throwing Joe out at 1st was he?
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Well, I don't really like myself so I can't do this out of principle. Damn you, 0-8 start! Can't you see what you're doing to us?!?!
