Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 (edited) Naile it. Feels like a Woody Allen flick, being a Twins fan. (Without the funny, har-har, guffaw bits) Edited July 29, 2015 by Ultima Ratio LaBombo 1

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 I've been a Twins fan for over 50 years. I don't think my fandom has ever been tested to this extent. Not through all the losing years. Not through the playoff losses. I'm so disgusted with Terry Ryan I can't even begin to describe it. IMO he is giving every single one of us a big, fat, high middle finger. And expecting us to pay for the privilege. Mike Sixel, twinsnorth49 and NorthwestTwinsFan 3

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 DP to end it?!?!?!?! You know, nice bow on the whole package?!?!? Yup, like two days ago, over in a twinkling... Er, i mean a Twin Killing. Seems like a modest hope to break that string tomorrow. Still, i like how we fought back in the bottom of the 8th. And i was just about to ask how many times the helmet was going to come off...

mudcat14 Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 That's one of our veteran leaders folks! Four pitch walk to the rook, then you go after a sinker-ballers 1st pitch at the knees for a DP. First move of the off-season has to be to trade that stiff. We will never seriously contend with a .250, 15-20 HR guy in the heart of our order. That's his ceiling folks. Stop kidding yourselves that he's a keeper. zchrz, Aggies7 and Halsey Hall 3

Twins are 8 games below 500 in games that don't take place in May. We're just about into august now. Good teams play well in more than one month.

The Twins need someone who is going to destroy water coolers after a game like this.
Kwak Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 (edited) Nobody has a bullpen tonight. PITs 4-run lead evaporated faster than alcohol. Perkins another dinger!? Yikes. Walking Sano was foolish--but PIT lucked-out. Woulda served him right for a single and a fly ball to send it to the 10th. Oh well tomorrow. ETA: notice how the NYY opened-up another can of whupazz? If Terry Ryan can't see what's wrong with this ****ing club and figure out a way to try and fix it, especially considering their position, then I've officially lost faith in him. Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Biggest contributor to this loss is by far poof. I'd like to see him in civies in left field stands with a glove in one hand and a sign in the other saying "hit it to the seat next to me".

jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Do you think Molly would PH Arica for Plouffe there? I'm not sure he would. If Molitor had Oswaldo Arcia to PH against a RH closer whose main weapon was a cutter, a pitch that bends inward towards Arcia's swing... He certainly might consider it. Obviously all this is speculation. The best way to find this out is to try it. Use Arcia to DH or play RF against righties, batting behind Sano. You'd find out pretty quickly if pitchers kept walking Sano to get to Arcia, one of the few people with a swing of the same magnitude as Sano's. I'm okay with that experiment. I'm wondering what they're waiting for. SydneyTwinsFan, LaBombo, Platoon and 1 other 4

I haven't been this demoralized about a Twins team over .500 since... Well, I don't know if I can think of a time I've been this down on a winning ballclub. I'm pretty level-headed. I look at scenarios from as many perspectives as possible. I don't complain when a specific deal doesn't go down. But this bullpen problem was looming on OPENING DAY and by the middle of May, it was obvious IT WASN'T GOING TO FIX ITSELF. And what was done about that? Virtually nothing. Moved a few deck chairs. Cut the worst reliever but left several bad ones. If I was Terry Ryan, I'd be bloody embarrassed right now. USAFChief, Mike Sixel, Squirrel and 1 other 4
