Rocco must be sitting in his recliner chair in Woonsocket feeling pretty dumb right about now.  Either that, or grumbling into his ice-cold Narragansett, "well, sure, if they'd given me a roster like THIS."

Dodgers are 12-4. He couldn't care less

I've wondered how Rocco must feel.  But I think his role under Falvey was far more restrictive than it is for Shelton. I'm sure he wished he had this much latitude.

IF the Twins keep up this pace, when they face the Dodgers it will be very interesting.

I would say you're more correct about Jax than Abel.  If you believe you are a good closer away from a WS run, you likely still make that trade.  Especially if you stand a chance at resigning him, like Philly does.

Yeah the Rays trading Bradley was a head scratcher. They weren't close to the playoffs last year. I know there were philosophical differences with Bradley but even so. Trading him for a reliever who was on the downside in 2025 didn't seem like a smart move and even less so now.

Eh...dunno.

Rocco struck me as committed to making decisions about tonight's game at 1 pm this afternoon.

I wasn't paying attention to Rocco either. Where'd he end up?

Far too early to judge the trade in either direction. Relievers are kings of SSS and we've seen Jax go on multiple months of dominant play. Jax is 31, not 41...

I would say there could be some truth to that.  On the other side, Shelton seems to be more of a clubhouse voice than Rocco.  They stated during the pre-game that even during the year that he was Rocco's bench coach that it was Shelton that walked through the clubhouse.  I remember them suggesting that Rocco and Falvey spoke nearly every day and there had been more than one question asked on whether Falvey was actually running the lineup.

For the record, I’m concerned that Buck tweaked something on that first swing

Still in CF...good sign.
