RpR Verified Member Posted September 26, 2025 Posted September 26, 2025 Kepler after .300+ hitting streak is below the Mendoza line for the past 7 games. I hope he plays every game to see how he does against the Twins. Patzky 1

A better question is how many TC Bears would it take to take down the Phanatic - I think at least 3. TC Bear is a gentle bear. Richie the Rally Goat and shortround81 1 1

If the Phillies swept the Twins and the Brewers got swept by the Reds, Philadelphia would move past Milwaukee for the first seed in the NL and home-field advantage throughout the NL bracket. That combination of sweeps doesn't seem especially likely, and the small gain in home field from 2nd to 1st seed may not be worth going all-out for. Winning the Rangers series felt good at the end of this ugly season. I would like to see the Twins win some games in Philly too. It's crazy how Nola has struggled after being so consistent for years, but this kind of seems like the most winnable game of the series.

Who would you rather come across in the woods? TC or the Phanatic

As stated earlier, 1 loss this weekend by Philadelphia or 1 win by Milwaukee and Milwaukee clinches the #1 seed. The Dodgers can not overtake either team for the #2 seed.

The top-2 seed they're locked into means a week off before the divisional round. There's enough of a built-in risk of rust that I don't think they'll want to extend even further by backing off too much this series

Actually the Phillies used all of their players and played hard. No let up at all from the Phillies.
