The Great Hambino Verified Member Posted August 1, 2025 Posted August 1, 2025 Here's the email I - and I'm sure others here - received from Falvey today. I'm interested in everyone's thoughts. Dear Hambino, This week, we made a clear and deliberate decision to strengthen the next chapter of championship-caliber baseball for the Minnesota Twins. We didn’t make surface moves. We acted with purpose. That meant adding players who can help now, deepening our talent pipeline for 2026 and beyond, and reinforcing the foundation for long-term success. This wasn’t about patchwork or small adjustments. It was about holding ourselves to the standard we expect. The season so far hasn’t met that mark. We knew it was time to respond. We’ve bolstered our pitching. We added arms ready to contribute now, along with others on the cusp of breaking through. The rotation has gained depth, and the minor league system behind it has become even more robust, with emerging talent pushing the group forward. On the position player side, we brought in impact potential. Players with the tools to grow into everyday contributors and raise the overall ceiling of the roster. The foundation is getting stronger, and we believe the next wave is starting to take shape. We know moves like this spark reactions. That’s natural. It reflects how much you care. That’s why we’re positioning the Twins to compete at a higher level, not just in the short term, but in a way that can endure the ups and downs of a long season. That’s the kind of team you deserve. The mission hasn’t changed. We’re here to build a team that can win a World Series. This is the next push. Thank you for your support. It's your passion that drives us every day. notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted August 1, 2025 Posted August 1, 2025 Disingenuous at best. A straight up F you at anything else. I would have resigned before making any of those trades. Sadly, there will be people who just accept this and think we somehow improved in either the short term or long term.

Leads me to think the tragedy of yesterday was the result of one man, acting alone, who caught a bad fever. I also think he believes every word of that letter.

You think this letter went out without an ownership proofread? I'm the opposite. I think he wrote this with a Pohlad holding a gun to his head TheLeviathan, Mike Sixel and Strombomb 1 2

If the payroll savings are reinvested and Pablo/Ryan/Ober are retained, then Falvey really is spearheading this initiative. But if the savings are pocketed and at least two of the three are shipped off, then Twins fans better be ready to party like it's 1999 Hosken Bombo Disco 1

Strombomb Verified Member Posted August 2, 2025 Posted August 2, 2025 Oh boy. Falvey almost read this letter word for word on the 3rd inning broadcast tonight 😫 I Miss The Lakes 1
I Miss The Lakes Verified Member Posted August 2, 2025 Posted August 2, 2025 "We collectively decided to be incredibly worse on a talent level franchise-wide. But in better news, the Pohlads have saved an incredible amount of money. We all understand that the Pohlad family hates this portion of their inheritance, and the less money they have to put into it makes them happier. So we can all see how much of an incredible win this trade deadline is to everyone, because Joe Pohlad said "Good job pig, that'll do" Mike Sixel, Strombomb and NotAboutWinning 2 1
jaimedude Verified Member Posted August 2, 2025 Posted August 2, 2025 It waa hard as a Twins fan that has purchased merchandise at the stadium of players that were jetisoned, buys 15 to 20 games a year and plenty of concessions, to feel any empathy for the Pohlads. They tore the team down and got rid of players they did not need to, it seems just to punish fan's for being disappointed in their stewardship and ownership of Twins. One things is certain, the relationship between fans and these owners is damaged to point of not being repairable. it is tough to see things deteriorate to the debacle that happened Thursday. I think many of us have traveled to Milwaukee and cannot believe how different the atmosphere over there is compared to what we have. I can only compare it to being like a White Sox experience now. Falvey's email was meaningless drivel.
Jim wyllie Verified Member Posted August 2, 2025 Posted August 2, 2025 I can't wait to see what a new owner will do. Reading this i understand wanting to build for tge future but he definitely didn't consider without a good bullpen the twins aren't going to contend for a championship
Pykkman Verified Member Posted August 3, 2025 Posted August 3, 2025 Is the tear down complete? The new ownership must have had some input on this past week. Pablo, Ryan, Ober, Larnach, Jeffers, etc to be traded in the off season? Hard to see competitiveness during thier contracts?
cmoss84 Verified Member Posted August 4, 2025 Posted August 4, 2025 Falsetto is a master at reverse psychology. Just when we think he won't play our prospects, he actually has already penciled 10 of them on the '26 mlb roster.
