Back in the early 60s my home town was a test community for cable. Because of the bluffs you could barely , fuzzily, get one channel. So, we had cable in order to get the channels out of the Twin Cities. I think we had cable with a total of 7 channels

Let's see how many i can name...

2 (KTTC? PBS),

4 (WCCO, CBS)

5 (KSTP NBC)

9 (? Independent)

11 (? ABC)

Yep. I think there might have been a 2nd independent. Can’t remember the one Casey Jones was on. Thought 11, that being the independent and 9 being ABC? and for some reason I think there was a 13? Later on I remember a ch. 23. Too long ago

Okay … just did a google and came up with this …

WCCO, ch4 (CBS)

KSTP, ch5 (NBC)

WTCN, ch11 (ind.)

KTCA, ch2 (PBS)

KTCI, ch17 (PBS? Out of WI maybe?)

Not sure when and where ABC came in but they must’ve been ch7

Yes, 11 was WTCN, had the Twins and the Mel Jass matinee movies.

ABC was channel 9. All of them with antennas atop the Foshay Tower, if I recall.

I mean, maybe? I always suspected Bader would play quite a bit but not to the "everyday player" level. Like 350-400 PA territory.

Would he be in the lineup if both/either Lewis and Lee were healthy? Dunno, but I suspect not.

I sure hope not.  I want Larnach and Wallner to get 500 PA's if healthy.  If also like to see Miranda get some extended at bats.  That would mean spending some time at the DH.  Just my hopes, I want to see what these guys can do for a full season.

Reminds me of the Victory Sports discussions back in the day!

Between Buxton being an injury in waiting and the other two outfielders being LHB, I struggle to see how Bader gets fewer than 300 PAs even in a strict platoon.

We need to be saying our nightly prayers that Buck doesn't get seriously injured at all this year.  140 - 150 games out of Buck and the Twins are probably sitting at the top of the division at the end of the season!

Wow, I had forgotten all about Mel Jass. What a blast from the past.

My Mom was a fan. I mostly remember switching away to watch Dark Shadows in the afternoon.

Channel 9 is KMSP.  I also remember it as being an ABC affiliate for a period of time.  I'm also pretty sure WTCN (Ch. 11) was an independent when Casey Jones was being broadcasted.

Twins.tv is throwing all sorts of errors for me, anyone else getting that? Is this just a by product of the rain delay or do I need to go through support

I'm getting Twins.TV just fine via DIRECTV (the satellite dish form).  However, in light of the rain delay, they're playing some live look-ins on other games right now.

MLB TV down for me. I am getting errors on Baltimore game also.

I can get the Twins on mlbtv on mlb.com to work (it just shows rain delay screen), and I can watch the four game thing on MLB TV app on roku (but I get a network error when I try to watch the Twins)
