Squirrel Community Moderator Posted July 20, 2024 Posted July 20, 2024 Okay, let’s get this next half (technically it’s less than half) started with a bang! Hoping only the good López is with us the remainder of the year! Go Twins!
Shaitan Verified Member Posted July 20, 2024 Posted July 20, 2024 dare I say it: the all star break is too long? (I also think they should play 9 months a year, haha.) let's get the second half underway! Jerr and USAFChief 2
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted July 20, 2024 Posted July 20, 2024 A battle of the underperformers.

Both teams have pretty much performed to expectations. It would seem today will be a big news day on the injury front. Buxton and Correa were nicked and basically missed the last two games, Miranda could be off the IL as soon as tomorrow, Martin and Farmer could come off IL this weekend and we’re due for updates on Stewart (rehab) and Topa and Kirilloff. He's dominant for a few innings and then just stops throwing competitive pitches for a couple of innings. Patzky 1

stringer bell Verified Member Posted July 20, 2024 Posted July 20, 2024 More transactions to come, I presume. Miranda could be activated tomorrow and Stewart could be brought back as soon as tomorrow. It would seem that Castillo and Camargo would be logical choices to be sent back to St. Paul (I don’t know if Castillo has an option) and as noted, a starter will be needed to face the Phils on Wednesday.
Twins_Fan_in_NJ Verified Member Posted July 20, 2024 Posted July 20, 2024 Wonder if this is a season ender for Paddack. Forearm strains typically mean TJ. Would that be his third one?

Would that be his third one? Per the mlbtradesrumors.com report, Rocco says it is a muscle strain and the team doesn't see it it as a long-term disabling injury. Of course, that may or may not be full story. Twins_Fan_in_NJ 1

Joe Schmitt Verified Member Posted July 20, 2024 Posted July 20, 2024 I really, really want to believe that Dobnak wouldn't be a guaranteed loss against the Phillies. Sadly, I cannot always get what I want.
