Actually, we are 44-118 vs. the Brinks Bombers. Thanks, Manfred, for not implementing a salary cap and a level playing field for all 30 teams. Manfred, why don't you quit being Commisioner of MLB, and have someone who can give the Twins a fighting chance vs. the Yank$$$$. I was being facetious. But on a serious note, no one else has been as bad against them as the twins. And there are much smaller payrolls than ours. Jerr 1
Fitzpatrick54 Verified Member Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 It's 6-0 Yankees. Why don't we just quit the rest of the game, then watch the Wolves quit against Denver, and have the ladies over at the Lynx laugh at us? Now there is one team that knows how to win championships in Minnesota. Because of the Yankees, I'm being pessimistic now. The Twins better sweep the Guardians, or this season is over.

Good thing we can't see the posters, eh? Oh come on look at that guy and tell me he’s not weird looking. Maybe weird is a better adjective.
Fitzpatrick54 Verified Member Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 I wonder how Tom at TFTwins over on YouTube will recap this series...let's at least score a few runs, and look ahead to the Guardians series.

How many times a year can a season be over? I heard it was over at 7-13, and many times before that. This could be a record year for the season being over. Jocko87 and RpR 2

Has to be other people getting hits or walks before or after to make it happen. It's a double-standard. Heh. You mean like the 6th inning? Where Ryan gave up a double, but somebody else had to let in the run? double standard indeed. And for the record, that first inning "double" wasn't a double. Except in some idiot official scorer's opinion. h2oface 1
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 I don’t follow the minor leagues like some people here do. Do we really not have any better position players to give a look at than some of the guys we play every day?
Twins_Fan_in_NJ Verified Member Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 They don't have to sweep the Guardians. Win the series. Start winning series again and you'll wind up where you want to be.

Being mad at players is the right of any true fan, you know this. :p Also yeah, that was brutal. Just like the playoffs last year. I suppose Kirilloff will make excuses about how the sun was in his eyes or something in the post game. But, he's the son of a coach so he's great with fundamentals! USAFChief 1
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 Man, Schmidt just dominated us completely, wonder if he’ll go for the CG? 94 pitches. Absolutely no threat of the twins coming back.
