Weird to see Sands has a 0.71 ERA. That's why you move failed starters to the bullpen, it works wonders sometimes. Even if it isn't sustainable, it's better than being stuck as an AAAA starter.

Commenter's jinx? 😇 Is that a thing?

A good offense can sure cover up some pretty poor pitching the last two days.

Team game, that.

Is there a rule about how long a base runners glove can be? Why not wear one that is a foot long? Or more. Bigger bases, longer base running hand protectors? Buxton's must give him about 4 inches.

I'm waiting for a bat boy to run out with a foam finger.

Both Martin and Miranda have made good cases to stick around a while longer.

It's a good problem to have. I'm not sure there's an obvious answer for Duran to replace either.

Yes. At a minimum we shouldn’t need to sign the Margot and Santana types next year. Both players provide some diversity to the lineup.

"According to MLB rules, base runners, except for the catcher, can wear a leather glove that is no more than 13 inches long, measured from the top to the bottom, and no more than 8 inches wide, measured from the base of the thumb crotch to the outer edge of the mitt. The glove should not measure more than 13 inches from the tip of any one of the four fingers, through the ball pocket, to the bottom edge or heel of the glove. "

That doesn't seem to be the answer, though......

My guess is Bowman.

If adding Duran would make him the 14th pitcher, I don't think league rules allow that.  Probably the question concerns Correa when he comes back.

That sounds like the restrictions on fielders gloves.

"Baseball doesn't have a rule that defines the length of a sliding glove,"

"But, there is no rule in baseball defining the length of these mitts, so you could do it and potentially get away with it. Imagine if you saved your hidden 90ft baserunning mitt for the most important moment of the game you manage."

Time to exploit that no rule.......

I didn't know thumbs have a crotch.

(I'm also not sure how to deal with this new information.)
