That's it.  I'm done with this team.  They could go on a win spree and finish 20 games ahead of the second place team.  They could win their divisional series, the AL pennant, and the WS.  But I won't be watching them.  This is simply a repeat of last year's debacle, and I'm sick and tired of it.  I see no reason why anything will change with this team until some major changes are made, i.e., trade Correa, Kepler, and Gallo for players who can hit with consistency, fix their pitching talent starting with whoever advises them on talent, think about a switch at manager, and on and on.  Good luck Minnesota.  I wish you well in your days ahead.  Let me know how it turns out...

What’s happened to duran? I’ve never had a single worry about him until recently.

Because he can't seem to get anything other than his fastball over for strikes.

Duran has a world of talent, but he is not an all star closer. He has not figured out how to be dominant, and this was the Royals. Credit all three of the last Royals hitters for pulling the rug out from under Duran—Witt spectacularly.

His control has definitely been off lately.

And his ERA seems to be going up with each outing.  Not good for a closer.

Try and tell me this team deserves to win the Central.

Someone has to win it, unfortunately.

when you come in late, your job is to throw strikes, Duran pitched like total crap tonite and paid the price. Ugly loss. Instead of going after the batters, he nibbled and missed and served up the game on a silver platter. The 3-2 pitch to Witt was a nothing pitch right down the middle to complete the embarrassment.

Just a lousy way to the end the night. I don't want to hear any hearts and flowers from Rocco. Thats 3 losses in a row and lots of runs against.

He absolutely should have had Lopez. You could tell Lopez was uncomfortable after that pitch that came up and in on the bunt attempt. A fastball down the middle would have put him away.
