True story.  We took my grandmother to see Blazing Saddles when it first came out.  Fortunately she was half-deaf and probably did not hear most of the swears and vulgarity in the dialog.  As we were leaving the theater, she had just one question: "did they ever finish that railroad?"  True story.

Better that then asking how many cans of beans were required for that scene...

I think you double counted today's stats. He has 111 IP and 138 Ks. That's still tremendous though. He might come close to 200 IP by year's end.

Even though his ERA isn't tremendous, I think he is the ace of the staff. He's now 3rd in the MLB in Ks, behind only Strider and Gausman.

I did. Thanks.

And so far, nobody has said, “Luis Who?”

So far this season (not counting tonight's gem by Lopez), Arraez has 2.8 WAR while Pablo has 2.2 WAR. I think tonight's performance raised Pablo's WAR to at least 2.5 WAR.

WAR isn't the end-all-be-all, but the trade has not been nearly as lopsided as people make it out to be.

We don't have to get into 'the trade' every time he pitches do we? Pablo was magnificent tonite and he was also excellent in his last start. Yeah it was KC, but still complete game shutouts are a thing of the past in MLB...so this one was special. If he can pitch like that 2nd half, Twins will be in business. And suddenly Kepler has rejoined the ballclub! His 'd' and his streaky bat have returned. For now!

Twins and O's series will be very interesting. O's finally beat the Evil Empire tonite 6-3. They and Twins are two teams who really need wins right now. Twins to try and stay ahead of Cleveland and O's to try and not waste a great first half and stay in the wildcard race.I wish these teams didn't have to play each other (I'm probably the only one here who has allegiance to both teams since they represented collectively around 60 years of affiliation with Rochester)

I think most Twins fans don’t think the trade was lopsided given our need for starting pitching.  It’s the rest of baseball that may see it that way.

He is probably going to lead the team in innings and Ks. He probably won't get his ERA below either of Gray or Ryan, but he will give the team a lot of value.

You would be wrong. TD fans sun rises and sets around Arraez...
