Squirrel Community Moderator Posted May 21, 2023 Posted May 21, 2023 López needs to bring his A game today! Here’s hoping … GO TWINS!
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 21, 2023 Posted May 21, 2023 Who plays and who sits today against Ohtani? My guesses: C-Jeffers, 1B-Kirilloff, 2B-Castro, 3B-Farmer, SS-Correa, LF-Gallo, CF-Taylor, RF-Larnach, DH-Julien.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted May 21, 2023 Author Posted May 21, 2023 I’d say that’s pretty close
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 21, 2023 Posted May 21, 2023 I don't know exactly where to post this, so I'll put it in the game thread--I was checking BB Reference this morning and seven of the eight top Twins by WAR were pitchers, with only Buxton listed. In order--Gray, Ryan, Ober, Jorge Lopez, Buxton, Pablo Lopez, Stewart, Duran.
CRF Verified Member Posted May 21, 2023 Posted May 21, 2023 Ohtani will be tough to beat. I'm hoping for him to be off his game a bit, for Lopez to be sharp...and for a miracle.

CoastiePilot08 Verified Member Posted May 21, 2023 Posted May 21, 2023 This is my only game in-person this year. Of course Buxton got hurt yesterday. Pretty bummed. any updates besides leg tightness?
CRF Verified Member Posted May 21, 2023 Posted May 21, 2023 According to MLB, here's the lineup: 1 Gallo LF 2 Correa SS 3 Kirilloff 1B 4 Julien DH 5 Farmer, 3B 6 Larnach RF 7 Castro, CF 8 Solano 2B 9 Jeffers C Lopez - Pitching

Winston Smith Verified Member Posted May 21, 2023 Posted May 21, 2023 Twins would be in last place if they were in the AL East.

I know that LF is larger and Larnach's arm isn't bad, but it would seem more natural the other way.

It could be just one of those "genius" moves by Rocco.

So would a lot of other teams. They’d still be in first place if they were in the NLC and 2nd or 3rd in every other division. I'm giving this post an eyeroll, because it deserves it 🙄

There's only 6 teams over ..500 in the NL and 9 in the AL. So the Twins happen to be the only team over .500 in the AL Central at this time.. There will come a time when it's the Central are the strongest. And then you'll be complaining that it's not fair because your team might not make the playoffs that year
