Who plays and who sits today against Ohtani? My guesses: C-Jeffers, 1B-Kirilloff, 2B-Castro, 3B-Farmer, SS-Correa, LF-Gallo, CF-Taylor, RF-Larnach, DH-Julien.

I don't know exactly where to post this, so I'll put it in the game thread--I was checking BB Reference this morning and seven of the eight top Twins by WAR were pitchers, with only Buxton listed. In order--Gray, Ryan, Ober, Jorge Lopez, Buxton, Pablo Lopez, Stewart, Duran.

Ohtani will be tough to beat. I'm hoping for him to be off his game a bit, for Lopez to be sharp...and for a miracle.

I think if López is sharp, Ohtani is very beatable

This is my only game in-person this year. Of course Buxton got hurt yesterday. Pretty bummed.

What's the thinking on Gallo's renowned arm in LF with Larnach in right? I know that LF is larger and Larnach's arm isn't bad, but it would seem more natural the other way.

I would agree. Larnach has a good arm, but Gallo's is better. It could be just one of those "genius" moves by Rocco.

Tied for last place. So would a lot of other teams. They’d still be in first place if they were in the NLC and 2nd or 3rd in every other division.

6 of 1, imo. And Larnach’s arm I’d rate better than ‘isn’t bad’

It’s nice you feel so good about yourself, but I’d rate Rocco’s genius higher than most here

There's only 6 teams over ..500 in the NL and 9 in the AL. So the Twins happen to be the only team over .500 in the AL Central at this time.. There will come a time when it's the Central are the strongest. And then you'll be complaining that it's not fair because your team might not make the playoffs that year
