RickOShea Verified Member Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 Bremer said we've got our best defensive team out there. since when are outfielders allowed to play on the other side of the fence?
Rik19753 Verified Member Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 The Angels have made some really questionable moves so far. Leaving Detmers in to face Farmer when Farmer is far better against southpaws, then bringing in Tucker Davidson and his 6+ ERA in a tie game. Also bringing in Weiss, who has all of 13 IP in the bigs and has not pitched once this year, to face Correa in a 1 run game. Those bullpen moves are the equivalent of bringing in Cole Sands and Jose De Leon.

RickOShea Verified Member Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 That was huge, for Jax. He's been struggling. Let's keep it going!
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 Per Corey, that's the seventh straight quality start for Ryan. Longest Twin streak since Berrios had seven in 2019. All nine starts have gone at least six. Doesn't seem like I've heard as many "Rocco never lets his starters in" comments recently.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 Jax is approaching colomé territory very quickly . He just does his damage earlier
RickOShea Verified Member Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 It's been a recent impossibility for Jax to pitch a clean inning. We all know it. Someone else should be aware of it.
danielp19653 Verified Member Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 Jax is turning into Pagan, great stuff on paper but can't protect a lead to save his life.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 Just one lazy slider after another.
Rik19753 Verified Member Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 Earlier in the season Jax was definitely getting unlucky, but recently it seems he is just getting hit hard. Too bad we don't have anyone to replace him in the 7th.

IndyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 Jax throws gas on the fire, AGAIN! Why does Rocco keep running him out there in high leverage situations? AARGH.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 Most left handed hitters All love the ball low, ive been saying that Jax never goes above the waist , He has to be the WORST option at facing low ball hitters, my god Rocco im an old man with bad eyes and i see it , W.T.F. IS YOUR EXCUSE

Ive been banging the "Ryan is the real deal" drum for ever
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 Contact play is one of the worst plays in baseball

chpettit19 Community Moderator Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 Is Jax tipping pitches? Guys have real comfortable takes, and Moniak was all over that change.

Let me rephrase that the analytics guys absolutely love their stuff and everything is in the 90th percentile for spin, extension, etc. But it just doesn't translate to games at all.

RickOShea Verified Member Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 I gotta believe rocco believes in the law of averages, as far as Jax is concerned. He has to believe that he eventually will do the job. Unfortunately, it may never happen.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 Why is he still in the game. I don’t understand. Someone explain it to me
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 I feel for the guy but my goodness. Headed for loss 7?
Schmoeman5 Verified Member Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 Is it Hard Luck Jax? More like hard hit Jax. Maybe the starters need to throw complete games or at least 8 innings and then Duran.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 I didn’t blame rocco for giving pagan a chance the other day. But if you hated that move you’ve got to be livid with the Jax move
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 Jax has become death by a thousand cuts. At least Pagan gets it over fast.
