But, that shipped sailed, and I think they just let Ober go....and go.... I think they almost have to go that way. I wonder what Maeda will have left after he comes back. Probably better suited for the pen at this point anyway.

Not much point in thinking about the beginning of the year now; need to figure out the best plan moving forward, yes?
RickOShea Verified Member Posted May 11, 2023 Posted May 11, 2023 A bullpen assignment is not a rehab assignment, unless you plan on using the pitcher in foregone conclusion scenarios. Todays BP pitchers throw less, but more intense pitches. They go in for an inning and let it all go. Not the ideal way to get your arm healed and eventually stretched out.

wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2023 Posted May 11, 2023 Kirilloff hitting is not only a good thing, but rather refreshing to see from this lineup.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted May 11, 2023 Posted May 11, 2023 Ok guys, let's use this opportunity.
roger Verified Member Posted May 11, 2023 Posted May 11, 2023 Another great at bat from AK. Now, let's get him home. This kid sure doesn't swing at anything that is not in the zone. What a breath of fresh air with this group.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2023 Posted May 11, 2023 Now is the time, Gallo. Now is the time.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2023 Posted May 11, 2023 Good plate discipline there, Joey.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2023 Posted May 11, 2023 Not a hit, but I'll definitely not complain about it. Your turn, Jeffers.

CRF Verified Member Posted May 11, 2023 Posted May 11, 2023 The bases loaded curse continues. One run, on a walk...YUCK!!!!
HawksNest Verified Member Posted May 11, 2023 Posted May 11, 2023 Just brutal. They need to get a sports psychologist in the clubhouse to help these guys with their bases loaded woes. It has to be psychological at this point. Nothing else makes sense!
KirbyDome89 Verified Member Posted May 11, 2023 Posted May 11, 2023 I'll take the run, it's desperately needed, but holy moly why is Darvish nibbling on the mound? The Twins are one of the worst hitting teams in baseball and the minute he decides to attack it's two Ks and inning over.
Old time Twinkie47 Verified Member Posted May 11, 2023 Posted May 11, 2023 Kirloff should leadoff. Takes good long at bats

Atlanta called up AA players with little (but more than Lee) experience last year.....but no chance MN does this any time soon. Polonco was the only one i can think of, 2014 called up from A.A., Lee is the real deal,

RickOShea Verified Member Posted May 11, 2023 Posted May 11, 2023 Plesac on ESPN says CC will eventually hit and put his normal numbers up. When that happens. CC should put together some hellacious at bats.
