Last season Correa wasn't all that great for the first 100 or so games. I remember it seemed like a real possibility that he would pick up his player option due to his subpar performance. I'm a bit concerned that we are seeing a similar trend this season.

After what he pulled this off-season, and not coming here until the more attractive options backed out, he’s got about a centimeter length of slack from me.

This is just wrong. Correa had a slow start of like TWENTY games. He was great in May and June, before slumping in July, and finishing the season out strong.

Oh boy. Another RISP situation. The Twins totally won’t **** this up (knock on wood)

Could PH Jeffers who is swinging it well here. But won't. Backup catcher and all.

(edit: never mind...I thought they would bring in a lefty)

Why was Solano not running!!! He just stood there. It was a grounder!!!!

Yeah, I was expecting to see him digging for third.

Gordon for Gallo?

A lefty that can hit a single if lucky...batting for the one that can hit HR if lucky.

Interesting strategy...let's see how it works out for them.

Through July (101 games) last season Correa had a .780 OPS and a negative WPA. To me that's not a particularly great performance.

Credit Danny Gladden with that Twins run, after he jinxed the Astros on WCCO by extolling the virtues of their cerebral and defense-minded catching that led to that absurd pitch selection and pinball aftermath.

Worked out exactly as Rocco planned. Solano isn't on 3rd to score on the wild pitch without the weak ground ball by Gordon. Game successfully tied. Then...you have nobody to pinch hit for Taylor..so the game stays tied. Air tight...don't know how you can argue that one.

I'm guessing Gallo tweaked something.

Oh, I imagine that's what Gallo will say after the game, to cover for his Manager's blunder.
