Bremen is home with COVID.

Thanks. I thought he sounded a little sick the other day...like he was maybe getting a cold. Hope he's better soon.

He was trying to pronounce a word in the last telecast and said he was fighting a cold.

How many of you TD contributors will actually be able to attend the opening day game today? I bet it is so exciting to be at Target today in person. I'll be in North Carolina, watching on my computer, wishing I was there.

At the computer -- only 11 more days to complete my father-in-law's taxes.

2 Ks and a weak fly ball (and pitch-around BB to Alvarez) for the Astros in top of the first - good start!

Couple of curveballs down and outside the strike zone to Alvarez, neither of which he was even tempted by, and at that point Vazquez and Gray seemed to decide "you got any other ideas? Me neither" and just finished the walk.  Better results with the other 3 batters faced of course.

Sonny Gray, everything's A-OK!*

* I may trot out that jingle for every one of his starts this year, as long as he's going A-OK.

No worries.  The IRS are renowned for their sense of humor if you forget to file entirely.

Those 87,000 agents hired, are just getting their desks in order.

Completely off topic remark - need to be quick with the mute button ! The Kinetico water treatment commercials drive my dogs nuts. Doorbell! Doorbell! Doorbell!

Thou shalt stay on topic!

And by topic, I mean basically anything that comes to mind.  Bonus points if its not baseball related.

We do get a bonus three days this year. The 15th is a Saturday, which bumps things to Monday, the 17th. Except that April 16 is Emancipation Day in D.C., so it's being observed on Monday. That bumps Tax Day to the 18th.

It makes very little difference when tax day is pushed by a day or 2.  Procastinators, Inc. is in session.

Sonny’s got it going!

Maybe he can go a full 5 innings then.

Miranada goes yard today, once Urquidy hits the showers.

Why wait?

Same at our house... followed by the inevitable dirty look our way, as if we deliberately pranked her.

Boston Terriers have the best stinkeye.

I figured that one of the ways I could procrastinate is by explaining why we have a little more time to do so.

Whoa whoa whoa, let's not ask Sonny to go all Pud Galvin out there.

[It's ok to google it; I had to]

Because, that's how I'm calling it.

That's fair. Based on Miranda's first AB, I think he might get that off of Urquidy.

Gallo's got right field nailed down.  Why would you ever put him at first base?

Maybe you mean, "Gallo plays right field like his feet are nailed down."
