bunsen82 Verified Member Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 And likely 2 deals, the one is Mahle . . . the other possibly Rodon would be the cheaper route.
Puckett34 Verified Member Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 I got it. Definitely Ohtani. lol

Otto von Ballpark Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 Heyman doesn't think Mahle is a done deal yet:
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 where's Provus and Gladden? - it's like a Game Thread here on a day game, where I "multitask" work.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 I think Brock should announce it just to see if MTBTR links Twins Daily as a source.
Hrbowski Verified Member Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 Twins get Mahle, don't get Robertson.

If there ends up being only one deal I'd rather see them get Rodon and pay only "rental" price, assuming that SF is reasonable about asking such a price.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 Twins Daily sniped by Jon Heyman once again!

Had not seen the Heyman tweets when I wrote that! Oh well!
CRF Verified Member Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 Looks like Mahle is probably coming here. Haven't seen for who. Is there another one?

Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 I heard Steer, CES, Hajjar for Mahle. Let's see if that holds.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 I'm okay with Steer, sad to lose CES ... but gotta give to get ... I think it's a good deal ... now let's hope it pays off!!! Is there more to come? (I'm really going to go shower now ... lol)

wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 How many years does Mahle have left on his deal?

I was fine giving up Steer. CES is disappointing. Hajjar is a bit of a throw in. We seem to be trading away most of our 2021 draft.
Puckett34 Verified Member Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 Mahle has control beyond this year, right?
Battle ur tail off Verified Member Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 5 minutes ago, bunsen82 said: Thats brutal too. Yuck Why? We have no pitching for this year or next. We have Miranda and they will resign Urshela. Plus Polanco and Aaraez. This is a good trade. Who cares about redudant corner players. Corners in the minors aren't worth much unless they hit a TON. Middle players and high end arms win games.
