A decent spot start for Sanchez. Offense needs to show up.

Can't really complain about the start. I don't understand the offense and their inconsistency, other than they have zero starting OFers starting...

With Garlick now adding to the pile of injured outfielders, I really hope the Twins pick up some rental type at the very least...

Yet again, the offense fails to show up.  For a team so lacking in clutch hitting, not that big a surprise

Sigh!!

I wonder if folks on Tigers Daily are mad that Skubal only went 5 innings?

They should be because he was dominant and only had 77 pitches

I was going to post a dad joke, but frankly, I couldn't find one I really liked. Anyone else?

I was trying to think one up for the Twins half of the sixth, but…

…but the inning was over before hits started.

It’s only funny if it stops at two. Six-run Sanchez is just depressing.

Hmmm, 4 hit - 2 run Sanchez causes coniptions but 5 home run, 10 run Ryan is better?

The bias here is astoundingly sad.

Why can’t we hit a lick against these guys?

Bigger question: Why can't we hit a lick against most anyone?

Who is/are the Twins hitting coach/es?

I like it better when so many here complained about 1 run - home runs.

We have, what, 5 baserunners, 1 double, in 6 innings?  It's not the clutch hitting that stands out, in this game. Just, the hitting.  The TIgers have a greater aggregate number of left-on-base.

Sanchez greatly exceeded expectations tonight.  That's all you're seeing.  Has anyone said that Sanchez's actual performance is the cause of this likely loss?

What's going on with the AK and Garlick?

Garlick hurt his rib or something and AK can't swing with his wrist....AK was apparently good with all non-swinging activities though so hence the odd moves so far. Interesting to see if Beckham is going to try to play outfield?

Lacking in clutch hitting in general, as we just saw another example of.

A general inability to have productive at-bats with runners in scoring position, at least to me, constitutes a general lack of clutch hitting.

True.

Why the heck is he on the roster if he can't bat? I really don't understand. Frankly, I'm losing trust in the front office.

Assuming he's hurt, hurt, we will see Cave.
