And etymology! Apparently Eckersley coined it. Ps. now i wonder who coined the phrase "coined the phrase" i'd like to give them a mint...

gil4 Verified Member Posted July 3, 2022 Posted July 3, 2022 We need some runs. This close game is getting in the way of my nap.

Hopefully we can lie in the weeds again, let them think they are going to win, and then pound their bullpen into submission. Go Twins! We didn't dump Tyler Wells ... it's really an important distinction. I was actually more disappointed to lose him than Baddoo.

RpR Verified Member Posted July 3, 2022 Posted July 3, 2022 We need a left fielder who has a arm like that!!!

It was Twins specific poetry too. I woulda been psyched if they had used Mars, but alas, no.
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 3, 2022 Posted July 3, 2022 Wells, ugh, the gift that keeps on giving*. * Pain, to the donor.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted July 3, 2022 Posted July 3, 2022 Well, I think the Bringer of Jollity is important to a game

Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2022 Posted July 3, 2022 Orioles have some pitchers the Twins may want to inquire about.
KirbyDome89 Verified Member Posted July 3, 2022 Posted July 3, 2022 Mini rant: This isn't a pitchers duel so much as a string of brutal ABs. Not exactly an original observation, and maybe I'm hitting the dog days a little early but it's hard for me to tune into games like this. Whether it's the Twins or their opponent, watching guys swing out of their asses and then sit down or make weak contact is so damn boring. Kudos to Smeltzer and Wells for getting outs, but these lineups are up there just hacking away. End rant.
