well first, he has to start hitting more singles, rather than strike-outs.

HIs ability to steal is another threat other teams do not like, remove that, they love it.

They love it even more when he's on the bench or in the doctor's office or doing rehab.  The additional risk of injury is just not worth it.

Not sure there are any but for the fans of the musical “Hamilton” it looks like Jose Miranda has a famous cousin…

Speaking of Hamilton, a few years ago I went to a game at the Monument to Cement, home of the Team that Shall Not Be Named and managed to get a picture of Ian Hamilton and Aaron Burr sitting next to each in the bullpen, with names on the back of their jerseys. Apparently they'd patched up their differences.

It would be fun for you to post it!

Nice interview with Lewis on the pre-game show. That's the first time I've seen him speak. Very impressive, as is his reputation. He could teach a few veteran players a lesson or two in humility and determination. I hope we get to see him on the TF field soon.

My lasting memory of Lewis will always be sitting right behind the dugout in Clinton, when Royce was playing at Cedar Rapids. There were two bat boys switching back and forth over the course of the evening. One of whom appeared to have a mild developmental disability. Royce engaged with each of them, moreso than any other player did. He asked their names and greeted them by name each time he got to the on-deck circle. Total class on his part.

I'd have to find it. The hazard of digital cameras is that I take WAY too many pictures and don't bother to categorize it.

Don't we have the bigger bases this year?

No, the CBA was agreed upon too late. Having 180-240 bigger bases spec’ed tested and manufactured would take 4-6 months minimum. Changing the bases mid-season would be weird.

Well, sometimes the other guys get lucky.

And sometimes, the defense lets you down. Correa has been terrific, but everyone makes errors.

Correa with his first bad play defensively of the year. Was going to try to go home, rushed it, didn't field it. If he has thoughts of going to first I think he makes the play fairly easily.

If he is that fragile, trade for top line pitcher since he cannot perform full pro-baseball duties.

Miranda! Drives it to the C-RF gap, first hit, first RBI!

To bad he did not get his first hit early on, he could have said: yeah as a rookie I batted .500.?
