RpR Verified Member Posted July 20, 2021 Posted July 20, 2021 If he pitches the 7th is that a complete game without an asterisk?

h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2021 Posted July 20, 2021 This outing reminds me of Johan Santana. He would pitch a 2 hitter, both homers, and lose the game (or win, but too many times would get no run support). "deGrom'ed" before deGrom. Berrios is by far the most consistent starter we have, and all teams would love to have him. I know I want to see him paid and stay.

h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2021 Posted July 20, 2021 Garver flys out. Better trade him. ?

RickOShea Verified Member Posted July 20, 2021 Posted July 20, 2021 Berrios out for 7th. Best decision Baldelli has made this season, outside of zippering his pants.

RickOShea Verified Member Posted July 20, 2021 Posted July 20, 2021 Is he pitching well, because he's pitching quickly, or is he pitching quickly, beacuse he's pitching well?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted July 20, 2021 Posted July 20, 2021 ugh ... this is why Berrios doesn't deserve elite money

RickOShea Verified Member Posted July 20, 2021 Posted July 20, 2021 Nobody implodes faster than a Twins pitcher. Spontaneous implosion.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted July 20, 2021 Posted July 20, 2021 Who told Berrios he plays for the Twins?
RickOShea Verified Member Posted July 20, 2021 Posted July 20, 2021 Good nite, see you folks tomorrow.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2021 Posted July 20, 2021 Joke team edit: just angry but wow do we know how to take momentum and just incinerate it
RpR Verified Member Posted July 20, 2021 Posted July 20, 2021 It was Colome time, or ANY other pitcher.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2021 Posted July 20, 2021 Maybe it's just me, but every time Rocco keeps a starter out there longer than you'd expect him to, they blow it most the time.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 20, 2021 Posted July 20, 2021 Sigh. Well, um, good game, White Sox.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 20, 2021 Posted July 20, 2021 I've said it before...the most disappointing player on this team is Berrios. Just a complete implosion.

Because they are conditioned to go 5 or 6 and call it a night. Not just Rocco, every manager anymore
insagt1 Verified Member Posted July 20, 2021 Posted July 20, 2021 He waited for the worst possible time to have his usual implosion. He looked awful the minute he took the mound in the 7th. Lost his composure quickly, as he often does...and it got ugly real fast. Snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Sox hit 3 out against Jose. When Falvey said nothing has lined up right this season...he wasn't kidding.
Fritzderkat Verified Member Posted July 20, 2021 Posted July 20, 2021 Not really the way you expect your average would-be staff ace to finish up, not when in order to resign him it's going to cost a chunk of money.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted July 20, 2021 Author Posted July 20, 2021 I mean, we all have to laugh at this point.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2021 Posted July 20, 2021 Someone will overpay for Jose. Hopefully it’s the yanks

He was at 80+ pitches with a chance to take matters into his own hands against some guys that wouldn’t even be playing except for injuries. He’s good. He’s not someone that is going to match up with the top of the rotation of contending teams.
RpR Verified Member Posted July 20, 2021 Posted July 20, 2021 I am not going to watch how Baldelli tries to blabber this is just one of those thing again.
