Speaking of, I was at a high school game this week and nearly saw my first 2-5-3 putout on a dropped third strike. 

Runner on second, one out, 1-2 count. Runner tries to steal, ball is in the dirt, but batter swings. Catcher comes up clean and tries to throw out the runner at third. Runner will be safe easily, so third baseman comes off the base and fires to first, nearly getting the relatively slow batter/runner.

Since down under they use KPH the radar gun in Perth would be lit up at 142....

Twins actually need to just yield the last 6 outs and rest up for game 2. This is too painful to watch.

Possibly a pitch count, or Rocco just does not trust him at all. I'd keep him in.

The Twins are in the middle of a long stretch, this is a seven inning game, and the offense is lifeless. Write this one off and try again in a few hours.

Duffey is no longer on the 'reliable' list. But the score doesn't matter anymore. Twins are going thru the motions.

Well that does game one. Pretty uninspiring start by thorpe who was once again sitting in the 80s rather than the 90s and didn’t have the command necessary to succeed throwing that slow. Defense was ugly, and the at bats were downright piss poor against a bad starter. Pretty much what we’ve come to expect with this years team, but still upsetting.

I actually thought they were bringing in Duffey to hit Gosselin since he had 4 RBI's against us.  Figured he is our new designated plunker.

Why take Cobb out - he had retired 12  hitters in a row and had 57 pitches?

Here's your friendly reminder that the Angels are the only team in the AL to give up more runs than the Twins... even after today they've still given up 11 more runs than we have.

How can our hitters be this bad?!
