We called it. I do remember being chastized for suggesting Keuchel would be a good signing
mikelink45 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 Gladden just made a really stupid statement - every team has a game like this during the season - does he realize how many of these games we have had?

LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 Dick helpfully notes that this will be Chicago's 25th win vs 25 losses at the moment for the Twins, thus delighting symmetry fans everywhere.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 Can we talk about how the last starting pitcher (besides berrios) that the twins successfully developed was Matt Garza?

Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 Won’t be long and Provus will be recapping games like Harry Doyle

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 I don’t even blame the broadcast commentators for saying dumb stuff at this point. They can’t just shut the tv off like we can. Their brains have to be fried

This is a huge relief, because... and I really hate to admit this... I was starting to think that the problem might be that the Twins are bad.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 18, 2021 Author Posted May 18, 2021 bottum of 6, 14-1 cbu.
mikelink45 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 At least we have proven that all the Twins RP signings are equal quality. Some have done it in AAA so that they did not even need to get to MLB to show their value.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 The FO has got to do something, even if it's wrong. They can't let the fans think that this is acceptable in any way, shape or form. There needs to be a shake-up, large or small, to at least show the fans some signs of life in the Twins owners box.

tony&rodney Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 Sam Hentges is pitching for Cleveland.
lukeduke1980 Verified Member Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 Do we need to cycle all of the AAA retreads in order to declare that the System has Failed in Totality? How many are left lets get it over with
bighat Verified Member Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 Rock bottom just keeps getting lower and lower. No pride, no fight, no heart, no talent. There really need to be major moves made after this game. If not now, when? Of course the problem is that there are no moves to make.... I think this only gets worse.

mikelink45 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 Do HRs count when you are trailing by 13?
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 18, 2021 Author Posted May 18, 2021 Donaldson!!!! 14-3 is better...
RickOShea Verified Member Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 Nice take. Don't wanna seem to anxious. Now the choker, Donaldson smacks a homer. Clutch blow, what a smash. Now that cuts the deficit to 9!!!!!!!!!! This guy is awesome.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 Dan Bailey somehow made a FG but the bears still have a two score lead

It has more to do with the Twins not filling out a rotation. Keuchel would look better than Shoemaker in this rotation, and also Happ, unfortunately, though I didn’t mind the Happ signing. And I personally think Pineda is always an injury/performance/suspension risk.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 I always thought Donaldson was a gamer. I thought he was a smart aleck kind of guy. Truth be known, he's a bonafide MLB choker. He's a poser of the highest degree.
