Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Author Posted April 21, 2021 Berrios with a much better pace that inning. Lets score some runs!
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 I'd be shocked if the Twins plate a run tonight. Or tomorrow, frankly. They'll be swept out of Oakland. Terrible start with awful weather, nutty extra innings games and these cracker jack 7 inning double-headers all over the place. I do feel that this team will hit a stride at some point when summer hits, but right now they are really out of sync.It started with the blown lead against the Mariners, then the Monday postponement, then a bad series with Boston, then the covid stuff. You’d have to wonder if that Mariners game had gone differently, would be this awful right now?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 When you’re going good.......and the A’s are, all kinds of things seem to break your way. Right now things are not going well for the Twins. They aren’t as bad as they look right now, but the team they are putting out there right now looks pretty brutal.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Garver gave it a ride. Better than not.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Yeah no BP on the field is the reason for this. Like they don’t have indoor cages.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Jesus Luzardo is throwing a gem. But to be fair, the real Jesus and his buddy Lazarus would probably have similar success
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Jeffers is getting some close calls, but losing some too. I can’t tell if Jeffers is a great framer, or a terrible framer. Nor can I tell if Jefferson was a great framer or terrible framer

MMMordabito Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Dick, shut up about the trial.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Dick, shut up about the trial. No no no, this game isn’t nearly irritating enough
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 A throw in the right area code might have gotten him
umterp23 Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 when does Rocco analytics type of manager wear out his welcome? Garver batting leadoff vs lefties. My goodness

MMMordabito Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Way to set yourself up for the throw, Rooker. Isn't Celestino on the 40?

He’s been quite underwhelming so far
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Meeting on the mound, to talk about what to do about the runner on third, if the runner on first runs halfway down to second and starts doing jumping jacks like in little league
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 No no no, this game isn’t nearly irritating enough Aggies... the guy was/is/always will be guilty....

cHawk Community Moderator Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Berrios just isnt the guy.Oh wow, we’re blaming this on him.

He’s been quite underwhelming so farRooker, Kirilloff, and Larnach all profile as corner OF with below average glove IIRC
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Berrios is a pretty good pitcher - he throws like a #3 most times out, sometimes flashes ace potential every once in a while, and then in August he becomes a #5 for some reason. That's just who he is at this point. Don't let that get in the way of the real problem here, which is the offense going 11 innings without a run... make it 14 if you go back to the Angels game.

He’s been quite underwhelming so farRooker is at least a tier below the AK/Larnach tier...not really profiled as a corner outfielder, and is likely a 1B long term. The + on him was his bat, but it hasn't done much this year. That said, neither have many of our guys.
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Oh wow, we’re blaming this on him. Nope. This game is just an example. Look at his stats in the playoffs and other big games. Dude just doesn't perform under pressure.
