sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Still confused over the nullified pick off. Isn't the ball back in play after the pitcher gets it back?
cHawk Community Moderator Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Nope. This game is just an example. Look at his stats in the playoffs and other big games. Dude just doesn't perform under pressure.Dude was fantastic in the playoffs last year.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Author Posted April 21, 2021 I'm so tired of this eff'ing batting practice excuse. It can't be the reason for keeping guys fresh, but also be used against why we hit like trash.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Dick just continuing with the excuses. Thankfully LaTroy isn’t like Justin who played right along
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Author Posted April 21, 2021 Hey! A hit! That's still allowed?
umterp23 Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 We have 3 maybe 4 guys that can hit... Buxton, Cruz, Donaldson and Arraez... When you look at the rest of the roster, there is really nothing there that scares me. Free swinging Tortuga is a one hit wonder and teams will not give him much to swing at first couple pitches per at bat. Scouting reports will make this his game comical. Garver and Jeffers on a strict platoon won't work. There is something about rotating every other game just won't do it. The rest of the guys aren't bringing anything to the table that makes me say, yep this team will score runs in bunches. 1-0 deficits feels like 5-0
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 The way this season is going. I'm not surprised at all by this
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Author Posted April 21, 2021 This might be our super bowl moment..I'm expecting no less than 5 runs this inning

FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Honesly, is a playoff berth worth it to lose to the Yankees again...?
umterp23 Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Playoffs, Playoffs, did you say Playoffs!
cHawk Community Moderator Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Honesly, is a playoff berth worth it to lose to the *anybody* again...?Fixed that for you
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 One of my friends relayed an interesting detail of David Ortiz' speech. Some unremarkable person commented that he approved of what David Ortiz said, but if you happened to look up who he was, he turned out to be the FCC regulator. Pestered my friend who pointed me at this... https://mobile.twitter.com/FCC/status/325714412143013888

Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Author Posted April 21, 2021 Does one tower of lights make that much of a difference? One thing if it's in CF, but it's in LF..
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 “They’re playing tough teams” is a gem of an excuse
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Author Posted April 21, 2021 “They’re playing tough teams” is a gem of an excuseyeah, by tough teams, they mean "doing well 15 games in." Angels will be good, but that was only one loss. Oakland won't make the playoffs, nor will Seattle. Red Sox are 50/50.
